Arrived at breakfast for 9:40am, and this is how the conversation went: “Breakfast finish 9:30”, “oh ok fair enough, I see a few pastries left over could I have one please I’m very hungry”, “no breakfast you have to pay and it’s finished”, “ok but what will you do with leftovers, throw them away?” “Yes”, “ok wouldn’t you rather not waste food and just give it to a guest of the hotel?” “No” so with this I go to the front desk.. “is there a manager around?” “No manager today” (there is always a duty manager in a hotel) “ok I will ask you, how does a hotel that says it is eco friendly throw away food?” The staff then talk in Japanese, “it will be given to staff” “ok good but can I just have one of them as well?” “No”… ridiculous levels of order and control, there is zero sympathy or bending whatsoever of any rules regardless of common sense. A guest simply asks for a leftover pastry and told no? So ridiculous it borders on stupidity.

The room was beautiful but the Aircon was turned up before the check in and the room was boiling. The window didn't open and it was a hassle to bring the room back to a nice temperature with breathable air. The coffee lounge was also very pretty but isn't available in the morning, so don't expect to have a morning coffee before checking out. The check in could have been great, since they have a modern self check in system with touchscreens, but they have staff tapping the buttons for you which is not only awkward but also defeats the purpose. The location was really nice in a really busy neighborhood with a Great variety of restaurants and bars.

Good for the price . Near to station . And little clean . I just found a stain in my bedsheet cover design . The have free coffee service . And parking facility from check in 3pm. To check out 11 pm but that is For ¥1700 until your one day stay. Buffet system for ¥1700. Nice and beautiful. Elevator available . Hotel is from 6f to 10f and counter is in 5f and below that I think that is other kind of things like offices or something . Keys is touch card kind of. And the provide towels, toothbrush, shampoo , conditioner, body soap , comb, body sponge , razor and earbuds . They have dryer in every room and free ice machine facility in 6f and vending machines are also available and iron and washing machine is also available but for price.

I don't think I've ever felt so strongly about a hotel to post an initial impression before I even stay... The English speaking senior receptionist was probably the most unfriendly receptionist I have encountered in my 5 weeks of travel in Japan. The less than 10 minute interaction with the front desk made me regret even booking this hotel. Despite the good reviews on Google and Tripadvisor, the initial contact definitely failed to meet my expectations. We will see how the stay goes... Update: The room I booked was nice and the bathroom was spacious with a full size bath tub. The breakfast was good with many options and friendly breakfast staff. Overall, they need to improve the front desk service.

The room was rather small but the bed was comfortable for me. I loved their breakfast, they had these cute mini croffle and grilled sandwich stations. The pastries at breakfast were wonderful and freshly baked. Great selections of delicious tea at the coffee lounge that you can enjoy freely. There was also an interesting wine vending machine that unfortunately we didn’t get to try. Loved how they carefully curated some local Kobe products in the food & drink. Location wise is close walking distance to the JR Sannomiya station and next door is a supermarket! Overall value for money, but service could be improved.

We stayed in this hotel from 24th Dec to 28th Dec 2023. Firstly, it was quite hard to move around at the entrance to get to the reception on the upper floor (with luggage) as there seems to be carpets everywhere. Most of all, we were not impressed when we were informed that Christmas is not a national holiday in Japan?!! when we turned up at 9:30am. The breakfast coupon stated on holidays and weekends the breakfast is between 6:30 to 10:00. Not a single apology for the error from staff - very Un Japanese like! Breakfast mainly serves pork. The furniture is quite dated. We would rather stay at the closer Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kobe despite the smaller rooms.

We stayed here just recently for an overnight stay. The location was very strategic as it is just 5 minutes away from the Sannomiya station. As we walk our way to the hotel, there were konbini and fast food stores (such as Sukiya and Yoshinoya). The check-in went smoothly. The staff were courteous. They can also speak in English so you need not to worry. The ambiance of the lobby was just a little bit dark for me. Frankly speaking, the room we had was a little cramped. We had a toddler and I think it is not recommendable especially if you have an energetic one. I believe that this is more of a business hotel and the room we had was good for 1-2 persons I believe. I think that they shouldn't offer the rooms which are not much spacious if the guests have children with them. However, we had it in a reasonable cheap price and since it was just for a night we had a good sleep too. This is the reason I gave 3 stars only. As we were about to checkout, I also noticed a red stain on the door and we guessed that it was a blood stain we really don't know. We didn't touched it or wiped it off. So I hope that you also notice those details as you clean the rooms. (I can't remember the room number but we checked in on the 7th floor)

Everything is great with this hotel. The service is attentive and they can understand simple English too :) Bed is comfortable and room is lovely. Short walk to all the attractions. Definitely recommended!

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Sannomiya station (the main station of Kobe). The staff are friendly, speak English and are extremely helpful. We dropped our bags off early and they had them waiting in our room when we checked in. The rooms themselves are small, but have all amenities required. There is free breakfast each morning, it's a fairly standard breakfast, no issues with it. Overall, great location and a comfortable quiet room. Great hotel for exploring this part of Japan by rail.

The corridor is open air, the bad design cos you feel freezing(or hot in Summer) when just walking outside of your room. Perhaps it help save some cost of electricity, but won’t be a good experience to stay. Location is great and convenient, few minutes walk away from the main rail station and shopping centers. The coffee lounge is great and cozy. Parking fee costs ¥1,700 per entry, cannot go out and in, which is very bad.

This hotel is "all business", with simple but very functional features (I love the alarm clock embedded in the bed header, so simple to set!). Yet, the lobby has a touch of style that makes it enjoyable for some leisurely after-work time. Very conveniently located and staff is friendly.

Rooms were clean and roomy enough for two people. Towels and basic amenities were provided, and laundry service was available. Location was very good, being five minutes walk from Sannomiya station, and had plenty of food choices around the hotel.

Great Service, very friendly staff the room services were excellent. Breakfast lots of verity good coffee. Rooms not that big but once you settle in its okay. If you smoke and want to relax get a smoking room, or every time you want a smoke you have to go to the 5th floor smoking room. All up I would recommend it as its also close to the train station and all the shops.
