It's a local public bath + restaurant + hotel. Lots of local go to have onsen bath. So, it is good. Room can be booked from the counter and the price is far cheaper than all the booking websites you see

Interesting place, to say the least. The split-level layout is very unique. I don’t think I’ve ever come across another bathhouse designed as such. The way you get around is confusing but there's a special charm about it that doesn't leave a negative impression. I personally found it amusing and thoroughly enjoyable. If staying overnight, booking the private deluxe capsule room may be ideal as the regular capsules are not soundproof in any way. I found it difficult to sleep through the snores of other guests but this is not the hotel's fault so no deductions. Highly recommend for those looking for a unique bathhouse with some random quirks.

First solo trip in Japan and first experience in a capsule hotel. I couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Kobe Kua House offered a lot more than I was expecting from such a low cost accommodation. Capsules were completely clean and comfortable (as comfortable as a capsule can get). Taking a hot bath every night after hours of tourism was heaven. The entire hotel atmosphere felt like living in an eternal spa and it also felt very safe. The restaurant had very limited times but I got to enjoy a home-made dinner on my last night, simply delicious. I went back to Tokyo relaxed and inspired and it was partly thanks to this great place. Totally worth the price!!

Convenient location in Central Kobe. Very average at best.More like a sento than an onsen. I am willing to travel further for a better quality onsen.

If you like Japanese Hotsprings and want the benefits of real hotspring water, but don't have time to go to an obscure place, this is a great to go if you're in Sannomiya. It's about a 15 minute walk from JR Sannomiya Station, but there's a free shuttle bus that leaves at least every half-hour from the top of the stairs of East Exit2 of the JR Sannomiya Sta. (in front of the Nakau Restaurant, across the street from the JR Central exit, past the garden). They have many baths and complementary: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, UV-sanitized hair brushes, hair dryers, and some hair supplies(mist and scents I think). Aside from the hotspring, which includes a free sauna (with a tv with sound inside), a dark, mineral bath, scented bath, massage jets, waterfall stream, fountain, and an open-air bath upstairs; there's also free wifi, a free space with a manga library and computer, a restaurant, a relaxing nap room (each separately for men and women) where you can watch tv or do whatever as long as you're quiet and have headphones (they sell them at the counter, but you can, and are encouraged to bring your own), a massage area, and a fountain with fresh spring well water, free to drink from. There's a calendar that has special prices posted for each day of the current month (for example, 500yen day). Also, they even have a point card where if you go with your friends, and they don't have a card, you can get all of their points. The price is also a fantastic 750yen if you get it at a Discount Ticket shop near the station. However, there's a day price and an overnight price. You need to be at the front desk by 1am to not be charged extra. All in all, my favourite Hotspring in the Downtown Sannomiya Area.

Great atmosphere, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. It's also an easy walk from sannomiya station.

Capsules were clean and quiet - can’t beat the price at 28 dollars a night for a deluxe capsule. The spa was relaxing, though in desperate need of some care (peeling paint, mold on the walls, etc). Also, who puts a TV in a sauna?!

👍👍 When in Rome do as the Romans do. When in Kobe, eat as much beef as humanly possible. I already absolutely love beef dons, so this one just felt like that but even more boujee. Beer hall
👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.
