Autumn 2018 is now in season. You can enjoy the autumn leaves by strolling through the garden until November 25th! I have posted a panoramic photo taken on 11/18, so please refer to it (^^) The program changes depending on the season, so you can enjoy it as many times as you like. The spacious garden is especially spectacular during the spring azaleas and fall foliage seasons! It might be more fun than the music box (^_^;) In winter, the air is dry and the sound of the music box is said to be the most beautiful. Aim for a day when it's cold and there's a dry warning! Advance reservations are required, but it's rarely crowded, so if you're in the area, you can generally make a reservation by phone on the day. In spring, the porch of the mansion is sometimes open to the public. Tea and Japanese sweets will also be served, so it's fun to take a break in the garden after enjoying the music box during the azalea season. Several types of azaleas are planted, so you can enjoy them from April to May.

The theme changes every month, and the main exhibits change. You will receive a guided tour with your booked tour. Inside the elegant mansion, you can find many music boxes that are interesting to see how they were acquired, including music boxes owned by medieval European royalty. It can be said that this is a gem of a music box museum that clearly sets itself apart from the music box museums found in general tourist destinations. What's more, you can taste Miyamizu water in the garden. Part of the wall of the mansion is made of glass, so you can see the craftsmen maintaining the music boxes.

My child loves music boxes, so I was excited to see such a facility, but I was told that it was only by reservation and by time, so I was politely assisted at the entrance and then turned back. It turned out to be a problem. . I came with the understanding that reservations were only needed in advance during the tourist season or for groups, such as ``The museum itself is open all day long, and the music box performance starts from ○ o'clock.'' It might be better to feel like you're going to see it. It was a shame, but I'm glad that I was able to enjoy seeing the super high-class residential areas on the way to here (sorry for being so rude). If I have a chance to visit again, I will definitely make a reservation and visit again.

I went there on a trip, and if you didn't make a reservation, you wouldn't even be able to take a tour because you'd have to pay at the door. It was a waste of time just climbing up and down the town of Rokurokuso. Wouldn't it be nice to have easy-to-understand instructions on the homepage or SNS, etc., a little more in advance? I think.

I visited in January when admission was free for Kansai Culture Day. There seems to be a free parking lot, but this time I decided to take the train, bus, and walk. It was quite a steep slope from the bus stop to the music box museum, so it was difficult for families with small children. If you have children, we recommend a car. The music box building was really amazing! (However, since I had a small child with me, I was in suspense from start to finish ^^; lol) The curator was knowledgeable and explained everything in a very thorough and easy to understand manner. Although it is a small music box museum, it is amazing that it has the largest number of individually owned music boxes in Japan (I think it was). The lighting was distinctive, so I asked the curator, It seems that the discs from a real disc music box are used as lighting, and you can actually use them. I learned a lot and had a very meaningful time.

I visited as a family with my two children. Reservations were required, and although it was Sunday, there were no other customers, so I was able to see it with just my family. The staff will accompany you and show you the music box while explaining it to you. Elementary school students within the prefecture can enter for free by showing their Cocoron Card. Located on the border between Ashiya Rokurokuso and Nishinomiya, the view was great and I was able to enjoy the view in a relaxed manner.

It has been well preserved, and you can listen to everything from cylinder-shaped music boxes to disc music boxes. Advance reservations are required and will include an explanation from the curator. On days when the weather is nice, the view of Osaka Bay from the 3rd floor is spectacular. There is free parking and JAF discounts. Closed on Mondays. Guidance times are also fixed, so please check the homepage.

(Translated by Google) It was a reservation system due to Corona, but I was guided very carefully. It's also nice that you don't intend to sell music boxes. (Original) コロナで、予約制でしたが、とても丁寧に案内していただきました。オルゴールを販売するつもりがないのもいいですね。

Luckily, I met Horie's granddaughter. she gave me a lot of explanations in English and answered my questions. The tour is conducted in Japanese, but there is no nationality to listen to the performance. This is the best experience of my trip to Osaka. I felt the love that Horie had for her family and her grandchildren. He must be a pure person with a warm heart. Thank you to the family who preserved this place.

(Translated by Google) Located in a quiet residential area of Ashiya. There is an antique music box and you can listen to the performance. Located on a hill, you can see the city of Kobe from the window. If the weather is good, you can also see the city of Osaka. The garden can also be visited in spring and autumn. (Original) 芦屋の閑静な住宅街に有ります。 アンティークなオルゴールが有り演奏も聴けます。高台に位置し窓から神戸の街が一望。天気が良ければ大阪の街も見えます。春と秋には庭園も見学できます。

I came from Aichi about 20 years ago. Even though it was already past business hours, they kindly let me in. We were shown around the garden and treated to tea and sweets. Even 20 years later, I still remember that kindness and emotion, and when I tried to pay the admission fee on my way home, I was unable to receive it. This is my favorite memory as I turn 70 soon. Thank you very much.

The response was not as described below. I visited without knowing about the reservation, but they kindly guided me around. The receptionist told me that I would like to make a reservation if possible, so I don't think I would have to pay at the door.
