先月、11月1日に初めて高齢者肺炎球菌定期予防接種を受けました。
約5時間後、今まで体験したことの無い接種部位周辺の痛みに襲われ、解熱剤を飲み就寝しようと試みましたが痛みは増すばかりで朝まで眠りつくことができませんでした。
異変に気付いたのは左腕を普段通りに動かそうとした時でした。激痛が走りました。
寝返りがうてない、ドアノブが持てない、着替えが出来ない、シャンプーで髪を洗えないなど、普段の当たり前の行動が凄まじい痛みを感じずには出来なくなりました。
強い痛み止めと湿布でごまかしながら時間薬で安静にしていればと我慢の日が続きました。
しかし普段痛みに対して我慢強い私が不安になるほど症状は改善せず、
藁をも掴む思いでネットで色々と調べたところ、オクノクリニックにたどり着きました。早速予約を取り、主人に付き添ってもらいエコー検査でモヤモヤ血管を初めて見ました。これが痛みの原因だった！？
すぐにカテーテル治療を決断した私ですが、普段は小心者でこのような大胆な決断はしません。
でもこのまま痛みを我慢するよりは絶対良いと思ったので即断しました。
カテーテル室に移動し、心電図や血圧計を測定後、麻酔注射をしました。
治療中は医師とも話しが出来る状態で全く怖くありませんでした。
その後ベッドで1時間ほど休み、先生の説明を聞き無事終了しました。
まさに歩いて帰れる日帰り治療でした。
翌目覚めると、寝返りも出来なかった左肩を下にぐっすり熟睡してた事に気付き、びっくりしました。
おそるおそる左腕を動かすと、痛みがほとんど無くなっていました。
無理をせず、痛み止め薬も湿布も不要で2週間を過ごし、再診の日は笑顔で先生に報告が出来ました。
オクノクリニックに行くまでの2週間の我慢の日々は何だったんだろうと思いました。
世の中には様々な痛みを我慢しながら生活をされている方が大勢いると思います。
痛みは本人にしかわからないので辛い思いをされている方は是非一度相談してみてください。私は本当にこの治療で助かりました。保険が効かなくても十分価値のある治療でした。
