Fun hour or 2 checking out 3D optical illusion murals. The exhibition is set up along rooms in an old wooded house from the late Meiji period. Apparently the house was used as the Consulate of Panama after the war: hence why it's known as Kobe's "Mysterious Consulate of Trick Art". It's a fun place to bring 6+ year old kids. TIP: the rooms are small, and you need a couple of minutes to properly set up your shots. So I don't recommend visiting if it's busy, as you won't get the full experience. If you see a line outside, perhaps give it a miss (unless you don't mind having other people in your pictures). NOTE: the exhibit follows a set path with stairs to get to the higher floors, so keep the stairs in mind if you've got limited mobility. FYI: - Entrance price for adults = JPY 800.00 - There's space to leave your strollers at the entrance - There's a small toilet available - There's a free filtered water fountain to fill your bottle with

A fun little place that allows you to take photos of your travel partners infront of optical illusions and 3D tricks. Not worth visiting if you're alone

Same as any other trick Museum in Japan. It was less crowded. You get to take cool photos.

Super fun, but make sure you go with someone and bring your camera (as though all phones arent cameras, haha). Most of the art works best if you take a picture if it, and the staff will not take pictures for you. I went alone, and was kind of bummed out until I made friends with a Japanese couple that took pictures for me.

We had a great time there. Kids (elementary school) loved it. I wish it had a little better lighting because some of the pictures turned out a little blurry without flash. Overall, great place to visit for everyone and it's worth the money.

Super fun. It's best to go with a friend to take pics but if you're solo the workers are more than happy to take your pic

Well that was pretty cool. Can take lots of interesting pictures. There were no explanations in English, maybe because I was the only European at that day.

Very intriguing. Better to have a duo for ease of photography as the poses create optical conundrums
