Somewhat outdated mall next door to the train station. “Loft” shop in the annex building is very useful for souvenirs/ presents hunting.

It was a nice place to visit for a soviners and gift shop i can recommend it here B1 Also, watch out for events on the 9th floor they usually have a variety of shops depending on the season from what i heard.

Bought some presents for relatives back home. The team behind the counter was great. The wrapped everything up nicely and were very friendly. My wife also was breast feeding a baby and their baby room was fantastic for privacy and changing diapers. Highly recommend.

Hankyu is the "nicer" department store in Sannomiya, Kobe. (Used to be called "Sogo" so don't get confused if you see a sign that still says that.) Go downstairs to B1 for ready-to-eat foods, breads, a supermarket, and souvenirs such as cookies and snacks.

NARS. I wanted to buy ONE THING. Not a makeup consultation or anything. I got my credit card out and I was given a number to wait while they do makeup for 4 other people. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted. It’s a quick sale. I left after 10 minutes of them walking around and looking at the clients. It would have taken them 2 minutes to sell me the one product I was looking for..

So many variety. Ended up buying imported chocolates and made in Kobe sweets.

Sales ladies at the fragrance area were just awful. I'd have given this particular Sogo 4/5 stars even if not for their disappointing service and at a notably established department store! 👎🏼 Takeout food selections at the basement are great, though!

An icon of japanese departmental store. Mainly caters high end products so you can expect the likes of ferragamo, chanel , rolex and the likes to have a presence here. The basement food dept is worth a visit.

The depachika downstairs market has a great selection of meats, including 5 or 6 different grades of Kobe beef! If your looking for seafood, they have an incredible assortment of sushi grade fish, live killed fish, and still very much alive seafood to choose from. Also a fresh and seasonal produce section. Wine and Sake can be found downstairs as well.
