UPDATE: The 7-11 convenience store on the 3rd floor has just closed down. Shops continue closing up but not many new tenants moving in. The west side of the ground floor is now occupied by medical offices and a pharmacy. On the 3rd floor there is a Kobe beef specialty shop (with a seating counter to sample products). Still no new restaurants. Remaining holdouts are shabu-shabu, coffee, tofu, kushi katsu, Kobe beef and Indian. The hotel upstairs has some nicer up-market choices. There is a supermarket and a 100 yen shop in the basement level. The east half of the first floor is completely deserted except for a small seating area with drink machines. Strangely enough, there always seem to be people there. Maybe someday they will get some tenants to set up shop.

A pretty deserted place with very little crowd. The mall is big and spacious. Restaurants and shops are quite diverse and one can get soveniours and purchases at their own pace. Restaurants wise are good but mostly franchises of popular brands.

The shopping mall is a bit outdated and under construction when we were there. Not the nicest place in Japan. But: If you want to enjoy Kobe beef in Kobe, come here to learn, shop and dine.

Ok shopping mall seems to have some vacant space though but high quality dining is inside.

Lots of shops and restaurants around the Shin-Kobe station. Although there's not much to do in the city it's always worth coming here to stay you've had Kobe beef (steak).

There is next to nothing in the Mall - no real reason to visit it

When you get to Kobe, there is probably one thing on your mind - beef! Kobe Gallery is an excellent restaurant. And they have the official seal. The meal is prepared right in front of you.

Worlds most annoying escalators. If that’s your thing, this place is perfect.
