Since photography inside the museum is prohibited, I took my time and took my time to record it in my mind. The flower cutouts made with stamps were very impressive. When I went, there was a special exhibition of stamps from the Year of the Pig, and I had fun looking through everything from the oldest to the most recent.

(Translated by Google) The admission fee is 500 yen for adults. Parking is free. There are also two parking lots in front of the building for people with disabilities. The building here is said to have been relocated from Iwate prefecture. Originally, it is said to be the Baji Cultural Museum "Shoutokukan". The "Namako wall" with the stamp design embedded in it is interesting. The door was also heavy. It's okay to take pictures up to the front door 👌, but I can't take pictures inside. The world's first "Penny Black" and Japan's first "Ryubun Stamp" Olympic-related stamps, thematic stamps, etc.! Actually, my hobby is collecting stamps from all over the world. There are about 50 countries, but they are not classified! 😅 If you don't do it properly ... There are many things that I do not know where the country is. There was nothing overseas here. I also wanted to see things from overseas. The staff was kind. Corona measures were also perfect.

There is a collection of very rare stamps on display inside the museum, but photography is prohibited. The round mailbox set up in front of the entrance is for display purposes and cannot be used for posting, but the blue one is a round mailbox exclusively for express delivery and is extremely rare.

Hmm. It was less content than I expected. It seems that not all stamps ever issued in Japan are on display. We have old stamps that were passed down to us from our grandparents and parents, but we didn't have any of them here. It's more about the location. It is difficult to walk from the station due to the steep slope, so be prepared. If you don't have your own car, it might be better to use a taxi.

There are surprisingly few exhibits. There was a time in the past when stamp collecting was a popular hobby, and I know a lot about stamps, so it was nostalgic and interesting. I don't think it's interesting at all if you're not interested in mail.

It appears to be a memorial museum built by a stamp and postcard collector, and mainly used and rare stamps and postcards are on display. The building and grounds are very well maintained. Even though I went there before they opened at 10am, they let me in and told me I could park there until 4pm, so I was able to leisurely explore Arima Onsen Town. I thought the admission fee of 800 yen per person was expensive, but I think the service made up for it.

① I walked from Kamenoi Hotel, so it was easy to get there, but walking from the station is uphill... ②I think it's a great place for stamp lovers. It was interesting to see so many rare stamps. The explanatory text is difficult, so I think I should have studied it a little more. lol ③Photography of the exhibits is prohibited. It's not a place you go out of your way to go to, Next, it's a good place to go.

Rare and familiar stamps are on display. You can enjoy the history of stamps and forget about time. The building is retro and has a nice atmosphere. It would be nice to come on a trip to Arima Onsen, but it might not be listed in the guidebook.

First visit in the afternoon of May 15, 2023. To kill time before going to the nearby Kosenkaku CI. The regular price was 800 yen because I went directly from the inn, but I heard that discount coupons are available at the Arima Onsen Tourist Information Center. Photography inside the museum is prohibited. I'm a fan of stamps, but unfortunately I'm not satisfied with the price.

It was far away from Arima Onsen Station and there were hills, so it was difficult to walk. It was close to Taiko-no-Yu, and as a junior high school student, I liked that it was free. If you're like me and don't know much about stamps, I think it will take you about 15 to 20 minutes to look inside. The staff was very nice, and even when I went there just before closing time, they treated me in a friendly manner.
