Really nice fancy spacious room! Vue for money. Location is very strategic too, with Donki Hotei, restaurants, near to mosque, sauna and spa center

Clean and comfortable for its price. However you have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs when you come by the local train.

Try the hotel in here. The room is tiny But i like it. The decoration, The aminities, The facilities, all like 5 stars! Unfortunately, bus cant Come into the front of hotel and you Must walk from the main Road! They also serve coin laundry, and fending machine inside the hotel. They also serve free coffee in the Lobby. Just walk 10 min and you will get to china town

Rooms a bit small. No fitness centre but public onsen is heavily used. Location is great

Spacious rooms, clean and prompt housekeeping, professional staff, well-designed hotel with European and historical decor. Location is excellent. Right next to important shrine, numerous eateries, spa, walking distance to tourist sites and subway. The spa/ bathhouse at Hotel Monterey Kobe was modern and clean. We had stayed at Hotel Monterey Sendai a few weeks ago, and were disappointed that the bathhouse was pay per use for guests. This charge is very unusual for a hotel with a sento/onsen. We are very pleased that Hotel Monterey Kobe gives guests free access to the bath, which is normal for every hotel that has a bathhouse (like Dormy Inn, APA, JR Inn). This kind of hospitality is what Hotel Monterey should be known for. The only small thing I would recommend is that the women's steam room have clear signage and equipment to clean/ wash the tiled seats. It is normal in other hotels/ spas/ steam rooms to have shower or water proof mats inside the steam room so guests can rinse/ wash down the tiled bench or mats after usage. Mats are rinsed off and dried outside. Feedback on staff: Thank you to the friendly staff at reception - the young lady at our check-in spoke perfect English and was very professional. I believe her name began with a "T" and ended with an "I". Please thank her for us. The young man who helped me at check-out to send my luggage was also kind, professional and spoke English. His name was "Hwang". Thank you for your help! Credit to both these staff members as they made our stay wonderful from beginning to end. Overall, I found Hotel Monterey Kobe to have modern amenities, professional, friendly and welcoming. professional, friendly and welcoming.

Room condition is good. Hotel staffs are so so. Hotel towns have too many bar girls who call guests in the streets. Some hotel guests are very impolite, especially hotel sauna. This hotel has one merit : Subway station, JR station and Airport Bus stop are near.

I've performed the reservation through an agent, chosen to stay in this hotel because it has a sauna and spa. I'm a foreigner and I have tattoos, no use of these areas was allowed. The hotel doesn't report this on the reservation site , I was embarrassed , awful experience , prejudice with foreigners.

My room is of good size except that there was no view, I only saw other building’s wall outside my window. Breakfast was good though as there were a lot of specialty dishes from different places of Kansas.

Still here… and loving it! Classic old-school hotel that hipsters will never be able to appreciate.

Great classic building with a lot of style. No actual AC due to age, but stay was ultimately worth it.

It could use a refresh... The walls need a scrubbing. The front reception was a bit short with me... Kinda surprising when other reviewers rated them so highly. I feel bad saying this, but I found the decor really cheesy. I'm sure they put a lot of effort into it, but the effect was just off.

Beautiful and scenic hotel with underground chapel. Perfect for a small wedding. Hotel room is small, but very good for stay. Staff speaks English fluently
