A wonderful place. Lots to see and do. Excellent display. Change with seasons. One can take ropeway or hike up and down. Many places to have lunch or have small snacks. A nice shop for suvenirs and/or tea, hand creams, essence oils, and small towels etc.

This place is incredibly awesome! Visitors can experience viewing spectacular views of Kobe City from top, while in the cable car. And have a breathtaking moment with thousands of flowers! A really nice place to hang out with family and friends.

Most beautiful place in Kobe for me. Place for relax enjoy the gorgeous view, spend time with family and to see the beautiful plant, flowers, and all the surrounding. Price bit cost 1500¥ to ride the cable car from first station to the top station but it was worth it. Better visit here from morning to afternoon and check the weather forecast don't visit here when raining. Not to many options for eating place but you can bring own food have a picnic style lunch.

This place is awesome!! It was a beautiful view despite the cloudy weather the day we went. Do not miss a fun ride on the ropeway for a fee of about $15USD roundtrip. Well worth it for the spectacular views of the city of Kobe, a waterfall & the gorgeous garden grounds below. You can also choose a one way trip on the ropeway & then hike your way back down. The upper part of the gardens have a resting area, souvenir shopping & a couple of places to eat & drink. The soft serve ice cream was delish! The bottom of the ropeway is within walking distance of the Shin-Kobe station otherwise it is also a stop on the Kobe City Bus Loop (hop on hop off bus) which I would also highly recommend when visiting Kobe. It was definitely one of our favorite stops during our day trip to Kobe from Osaka!!

My tour guests always enjoy this. Take the 'round-trip' ropeway, ride to the top and walk down to the 'middle' station for return. Yes, you CAN hike down from there past the waterfalls instead, IF you are quite fit and IF you have an hour or more of bright daylight remaining. In late afternoon, the light in the valley through the tree cover to the path is nearly zero even in summertime. I've done that, fortunately having brought a flashlight. It's not fun.

Beautiful views, smells wonderful everywhere you go, nice souvenirs. It's actually a great trip on a rainy day as well. Great as a date, with family or even solo

Veyr pretty gardens, even in winter. Fun perfume/scent museum at the top station, as well as a nice shop and restaurant. Hiking trails are also available behind the top station building. A small stroll down the mountain brings you to a verdent greenhouse with an attached tea shop/cafe. Overall a very beautiful area.

A nice side excursion if you're going to take the shinkansen anyway, and it's a nice day so you can see the view. I went on a week day, so I would recommend it when it's quiet and you can enjoy the atmosphere. You can walk up the trail but I recommend the cable car at least once for the view. There's not a lot to actually do, so this is best if you're the type of person who wants to just sit and enjoy the flowers.

The Kobe herb museum was surprisingly a very enjoyable and interesting experience. There is lots to see, smell and taste, making it a must see for any trip to Kobe. We were there at Christmas time when they had a German inspired Christmas market with lots of traditional German food and trinkets. It is reachable by a lift, which is a great attraction itself. I would recommend taking the lift all the way up, then walk to the middle station and go back to the city.

It is a very interesting place to buy many herb products (from spices to medicinal tea herbs). Additionally, you can take amazing pictures at the top of the mountain. I recommend going there in the cable car to the top of the mountain and then walking down by the hiking trail. There is a waterfall in the course, so many adventures can be planned with enough time.

I loved this place. A must do in Kyoto. Yes it's a bit pricey compared to other attractions in Japan but what you get is an amazing experience!

We went here last 2023 January 16. The winter foliage as expected is vastly different and not as beautiful compared to other seasons. Though the place is still charming and quaint. Since we took a cable car ride round trip we were not able to explore more of the surroundings compared to hiking down. It was really cold as it was windy, good thing the shops were open. We had some coffee and currywurst for snacks. The gift shop also had nice items on sale. Overall a good experience. But I think it’s better to visit during the less cooler seasons to fully appreciate the foliage and surrounding sceneries.

Even though the outdoor flowers in winter are basically non-existent, still a beautiful place with a series of well-arranged greenhouses, a nice view from the cafe, a selection of suitable gifts at the souvenir shop and winter vegetables growing.
