This Catholic church was built in 2004 for the combination of three previous Catholic churches which was broken during 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. This church also provides the masses in several languages, such as Japan, English, Portuguese, Filipino, and Bahasa Indonesia. The staff were very friendly. I was coming there when there is no mass, and the church were opened too. I felt in love with the diorama, also the style of new Catholic church which I think a bit anti mainstream from other Gothic style church.

Stopped by this lovely church on my way to Starbucks, loved how simple and yet beautiful it’s interior were. The stained glass panels were gorgeous, unfortunately it was a rainy day when I was there so the stained glass couldn’t shine under the sun. 2 friendly parishioners stopped to have a chat and invited me to their canteen for lunch 😊 Also love that they grow olive trees around the church.

This is a a different Catholic Church I have visited in Japan. The only image you will see at the altar is the image of Jesus as a Man. The mass is also different from the traditional celebration.

A nice catholic church on the hill. The site is split into several parts with the main circular church on right hand side of the entrance. The church itself is a little bland but is a nice space to be by yourself.

Although I don't know who the architect is, it is indeed a very beautiful building, perhaps inspired by tadao ando, but with the rainbow of light that is not owned by ando, I call it the Rainbow Church.

We attended the English mass at 11:15am on Sunday. The church was very welcoming and unique. The choir was very engaging and they helped lead the congregation in prayer through music. The father celebrating mass was also very engaged in his homily sharing. At the end of mass, they encourage visitors and newcomers to be acknowledged in their parish which I thought was very cool.

Kobe Central Catholic Church has Japanese, Bilingual (Japanese and English), and English masses that cater to all parishioners. Also, I appreciate that there's a Filipino community in the parish that's very welcoming to Filipinos like me, as well as other nationalities.
