We stayed at this place for a Night and had the worst experience.The bathrooms were not clean ,the basic toiletries and tissues were not provided.Searching for the shampoos and dental kit we opened the cabinets to find it very dirty as in the picture below,the shower curtains were also stained and dirty,there were also snails in the bathroom.We expected the temperature to be low as the owner had informed.Above all we were disappointed by the owners behaviour towards one of our members when she requested for the cancellation of room booking for the next day because of the unbearable heat. Whatever be the situation they should learn to treat custumers politely and appropriately, We are people who travel a lot but we never had such an experience. People who are looking for stay options please make sure about the place and facilities.

The staffs were good but the owner was insolent. Two weeks ago 2 cottages were booked for 2 families that included 4 elderly people, 3 others and 2 children. We checked in the afternoon for a proper rest after a very long travel but the rooms were very uncomfortable due to the heat inside, each room has a large glass to enhance the ambience but not a good option during summers as the glass traps more heat. More over the rooms cannot be kept open as the light attracts mupli bugs. No toiletries were available, the bath towels were stained, No hand wash too. We couldn't continue the next day so decided to move out and informed the owner which to our surprise he responded by demanding money for 2 days without even asking how our stay was or how could he improve. And when we expressed the soreness in stay he started throwing false allegations on us. We went to have a pleasant memorable vacation but coming here ruined everything.

The cottage was awesome room's, and the toilet was clean & and tidy. location was at peak & nature viewing available from the room's. Food was tasty and hygienic, service was excellent. In another 2 months time they would have swimming pool. Altogether stay was relaxing and peaceful

One of the highlights of my stay was the outdoor space. The cottage had a lovely patio area that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The surrounding gardens were beautifully maintained and added to the overall ambiance of the property.

I went for a relaxed vacation and also required a custom menu to suite myself and my family. The treatment was awesome! It was more of a family getting together. I did not feel like leaving the resort with a beautiful view always available. It is a hilly region and there are few areas to visit according to your liking. I did stay back to enjoy the view at the resort itself

A perfect place to plan a getaway with family or friends. You have to go 3 KM straight from Thookupalam stop and that’s the easiest and quickest route with lesser steep roads. There are direction board kept when you reach closer and google maps shows the right place. There are 4 cottages, the location is next to windmills and away from all the noises of city. The view is really nice from the backyard. We can order food of our choice or pick from the menu they offer. The prices are really reasonable and it’s super tasty. The staffs and owner are friendly and really nice people. If you are planning to find a place with calm and quiet with a nice view and good food, you should definitely check this place. I will definitely plan more vacation here.

Trust me, first you may find the location bit odd but as soon as you reach the location, it will be one of your best decision you ever made in hotel/resort/cottage selection. AND the morning view is like mesmerising that it would take alot of time to overcome from it. It’s at the TOP of the MOUNTAIN and in the CLOUDS. Rooms are great and staffs are best. Ashwin is such a down to earth person. He makes you feel so comfortable while talking. My overall experience was best and for sure I would be travelling again with my family or friends there.

Peakaavu cottages is located in a serene locality, overlooking one of the most spectacular views. The cottage is spacious, giving homely vibes. The staff are extremely warm hosts. They're always on their toes willing to go the extra mile so that the guests receive the best hospitality. The cottage is clean and neat by the end of the day after we return from our sight seeing. Highly recommended stay, if someone's keen on visiting idukki.

It was a great experience. Everyone was so nice to us, provided a great service and available for all the time. The best part of the cottage is view from the room. Special thanks to the person Joel for making us comfortable in all ways. Food -9/10 Room-9/10 Location -10/10

Ashwin the owner is ready to help at anytime..he is friendly and take care of our needs..Joel(the boy he s very supportive in arranging the stuff for us)Basil(the Chef making the foods very tasty and spicy try chicken 65 and chilli chicken) chef is best at beef it seems try that if u r eating beef.

4 Fabulous cottages on top of a hill with amazing view of the valley. Excellent food and service with superb hospitality from Ashwin and Joel. Peakaavu ensured that our family enjoyed our Christmas holidays to the fullest. Use Google maps to take the road from Thookupalam. The other road to the cottage is not very good. There was an issue with the geysar in the middle cottage but the whole team repaired it quickly. Food provided was very tasty and affordable. Overall five star.

Excellent location. Nice rooms. We did not get hot water even after leaving the tap on for 10mins. Hence 1 star less.

Excellent property situated on a Hill Top, Ideal for family get togethers. They have got 4 villas, rooms were decent and maintained well. There is no shops near by, be sure we have got everything packed before reaching the property. Food they served also in a good quality and quantity. Property host Mr. Ashwin and our care taker Mr.Joel both were very friendly and arranged everything as planned.

it's literally at the peak , sunset and the sky was incredible. rooms were all superb and they served good quality tasty food - the salt, spices etc everything was in the right proportion. away from crowd .top of a hill .with great views and cool breeze.

This place is at an amazing location and affords you a breathtaking view of the adjacent valley and the wind-mills. The cottages are beautiful and well maintained. Mr. Ashwin and Mr. Basil were extremely helpful hosts and went out of their way to accommodate our requests for a vegetarian diet (Kerala as a whole primarily consumes a non-vegetarian diet and hence they weren't completely prepared for our request). They were there for us right from room-service to helping us plan our itinerary and helping organize an off-road Jeep trip to key locations on the hills. Definitely recommended.

Great place. Awesome view. Spacious rooms. A must visit place. The drive was a little difficult as the road was steep. It’s worth it as I got to stay above the clouds. Food options are limited. Friendly staff.

A nice resort to spend a day with your family or with friends. I prefer to stay with your family. Because the ambience and the hospitality that you are getting from this resort is fair enough for a memorable family outing. Food served was very tasty and the rooms were pretty spacious and neat. I faced only 2 negatives there 1. The path from entrance to the cottage area was not good. It was slippery and our tempo traveller faced tyre burnout due to that. 2. They provided only one table outside. That was not enough for a big group. The climate there was mind blowing. One of the best resort I ever stayed.❤️

The best cottage/resort to spend your vacation with your family or friends. The place is very scenic as it has the view of Wind Mills in the background. Rooms are mainly very neat and clean. Staffs are also very polite and humble. The cottage is big enough even if you are a group of 5-6. If you go few meters away from the cottage you can visit the wind mill plants also. Overall it was great experience and I recommend you to visit this place.
