Absolutely serene.. I'm not really into visiting temples, but this places has a calmness to it. Its a very well maintained place, with idols of many gods/goddesses. Visited during the evening hours and that added to the beauty of this place as the lightings enhance the golden color on the buildings and it looks even more beautiful. You can sit out in the open as well and spend some quality time.

Very calm and sacred temple in Mangalore. It's very well maintained. A lot of people visit this temple even on weekdays. Even though main god here is Shiva, there small temples around main temple for other gods. It has few function halls also inside the temple perimeter. A must visit place in Mangalore.

Shree Gokarnanatha Skethra We were heading to malpe from mangalore. On the way someone suggested us about this temple & said its worth a stop & we should definitely visit it. I'm glad we heard him & went to this beautiful temple. Since we went in the evening... the lights lit up looked stunning! Let me tell u the whole temple is coated with gold. All that glitters is gold in this case. The walls, gopura, ceiling designs everything u see is coated with gold paint & it looked so beautiful under those yellow glittery lights. The whole primises is very well maintained neat & clean. They have multiple gods around the main god. All are very nice. We experience a sense of peace & calmness which I loved the most!! There is a small pond with some god artifact just as an attraction for tourists which also a nice place to click pictures 📸 I recommend this temple visit for sure if u are in & around mangalore! 💯😀🙏

Extremely beautiful temple with wonderful architecture and paints. Marvelous designs and hygienic beyond expectations. The temple is well maintained with neatly marked boards. Car parking is easily available right up front. This temple is the exact definition of an 'ideal modern temple'. Good place for photos too, you can visit this temple during the afternoons or the evenings. There are also some shows and events occasionally held here, do check these out before visiting.

This temple is part of my childhood memories since 90s. I really like the positive ambience of this place. Temple has a spacious campus with many attractions around it like Nandi, Geethopadesha statue , Gangavatharan pond etc. Inside the temple you see many shrines dedicated to Shanishwara , Ganesh, Subrahmanya , Annapoorneshwari , Kalabhairava , Navagriha shrine etc. One can offer various poojas to main diety Shiva. Overall visit to this temple will uplift your spirits.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful temple in the Mangalore town. I can say this as Golden temple of Mangalore because of its golden paintings all over the gopuram. It is dedicated to Lord Sir Gokarnanatha (Shiva) the main god with so many other small temples dedicated to other different Hindu gods like Sri Krishna, Sai Baba, Anjaneya, Vigneshwara, Sri Annapoorneswari etc. The temple is spacious with neat and clean premise all around the temple. So many statues carved on the walls and gopuram are really eye catching and worth seeing especially one who has knowledge and interests in Hindu religion and its gods. A small park 'Punyakoti' is there on the right side of temple with animal statues and pond nearby with statues of Lord Shiva. In addition, a big and beautiful conventional hall is located beside the temple for one who wants to have marriage ceremonies. The temple has good parking space for vehicles including four wheelers just at the left side before entrance. One of the must visit place if you are in Mangalore to have some peace and blessings of Lord Sri Gokarnanatha...

Extremely beautiful temple of lord Shiva as the main shrine. Magnificent temple to visit in Mangalore specially during the nights as the bulbs illuminates the whole place and adds to its beauty. The temple complex contains other temples of lord Hanuman, Sai Baba, and a beautiful pond. We went there from Panambur beach so the distance was 14 km, and It was Independence day too. A large Indian flag was made with the help of rice, colors, carrot, reddish, and Okra. It was a great experience.

A very calm and cool atmosphere if you plan to visit during early morning or in the evening. Footpath will be bit hot when you visit lunch time. Annaprasada (lunch) will be provided for devotees everyday. Children will be happy since there are few wild and domestic animal statues and are useful for taking pictures. The temple is well maintained and clean around. You will have to explore the entire area of the temple including the ceiling. Bit rush during weekends. Parking area is available near the main entrance of the temple. There was no queue when I visited (June first weekend). A nice fountain is also situated at the left side of temple inside temple premises and it will be attractive during evening

Visited this place after many years. Seems to be renovated as the place looks amazing. It’s a bliss to be present there. The atmosphere created with the chants and bells is too good. Try to visit this place in the evenings and after 7 so that you get to see the fountain in full view. Good to spend some quality time alone or with family. Stay blessed! 🙏
