Pisharikavu is the Devi demple dedicated to Sri bhadrkali, situated at kollam, koyilandi of Calicut (Kozhikode). It's was built by the Ettuveetil family(Ettuveetil Pilla) who where diamond merchants. They settled at kollam, Koyilandi after conspiracy against Marthanda Varma as per the instructions of ther family goddess who said to appeared in dream of one of the family member. Still the eight families have special place at the temple during the festivals called Kaliyattam, which is held in the month of April( Malayalam month Meenam) where the idol was taken out for procession on an well decorated female elephant.

A temple with high historical and hertage value. One need to google the details to know more about this temple. The history behind same would teach us about the dedication, determinaton and spirituality behind those involved in the construction of temple.

A lamp called കെടാവിളക്ക് (a lamp always brightening) is amazing to watch and also an elephant shelter is there like a forest. That area provide fresh air and cool atmosphere. And you reach there at festival time , I don't know how to express the feelings. Just come watch and enjoy it... lovely place ❤️

Inspite of complaining several times to the temple Management the washroom (toilet) has not been kept clean....The so called cleaner is sitting back and relaxing at his accommodation on duty hours when enquired.... People traveling from far are finding it very difficult... Temple Management is least bothered about the complaints....
