Famous for veg cuisines, this place attracts a lot of decent crowd on daily basis. Lot of seating available to accommodate group of people. First time visited this place. We had veg thali, gobi manchurian & panner crispy. 1. Veg thali was amazing with 2 curries, sambhar, curd 2. Gobi mandhurian - was good & crispy 3. Panner crispy - was good in taste The highlight is they provide hot water for drinking which is very good. Prices are very nominal as compared to other places. Speciality is veg thali (unlimited). Parking(4 Wheeler) can be a trouble which needs to be taken into consideration. Must try, it was great visiting this place.

Best and reliable food destination in Kannur. Its a vegiterian restaurant just opposit to Ashoka hospital at Caltex. They serve fresh and hot foods. An authentically Southern taste at reasonable rate. Morning and evening time were usually busy with Large puri masala, masala dosa, roast and chapathi.

I have never reviewed a restaurant before. But my visit to this restaurant made me do that. Worst veg restaurant I have ever been to. One item I ordered was mushroom chilly .. to be honest it tasted awful!!! It was mushroom served in chilly powder water, you could actually get the taste of row chilly powder. My Hostel food tastes much better. I tried having it but couldn’t, it didn’t even tasted edible.(honestly, not exaggerating). So if anyone is planning to go then pls order anything except their mushroom chilly. Don’t knw abt other dishes since I didn’t try and never want to try anything else frm that menu .. I am DONE! Their vada was the only thing that I enjoyed having and masala dasa was average, i mean atleast it is edible.

It was a waste hotel not near and Clean and hygienic. The juice making counter is exposed and full and attract mosquito and flies. It is seems to be strange that, the hotel has not provided a good toilet. The present one is utterly bad no sufficient space for placing a bucket. The present is very closed to main road drainage and think so the septic waste drain to corporation directly. The municipal health department should carryout a inspection or to register complaint Fssc for not maintain a hygienic atmosphere to avoid epidemic

One of best vegetarian restaurant in Kannur town and it's located in Caltex in front of Ashoka Hospital. The restaurant is always crowded with customers as the food served is tasty and delicious. Staff service is good and there is not much delay in serving food after taking the order. Kannur Dakshin have their own some dishes which are not available on other restaurants in Kannur.

This is a good place for morning breakfast. I tried the idli and vada set. The idli was soft and well cooked. The vada was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The prices are reasonable too. There is no parking in front of the shop, but there is a pay parking lot nearby.

We had Ghee roast, Poori Bhaji and Vada which was good. Only thing is the stench outside is very bad with open drains just outside the restaurant.

A fairly good pure veg joint, popular with locals and travellers alike --if you are in a hurry and if you can tolerate the crowded restaurant. You get a variety of veg fare at all times of the day. Good value for money and taste, IMO.

The best place for reaaalll quick breakfast that healthy and tasty too... Service happens in literally seconds.. never have to worry about time and taste is equally good. But ofcourse because it's primarily for convinience so ambience is not the best

The food was very bland and bad. The idly was sour and they served it with daal instead of sambar. The chutney tasted weird. Coffee was amazing.

This is one of the best hotels in Kannur/Cannanore in North Kerala and serves all kind of common local cuisines. Dakshin restaurant is famous for Idli sambar and Vada sambar as their best dish. Masala dosa is also good but Vada is the best according to me. Other evening snacks is also available in this restaurant. The ambience is okay, not the perfect place for dine-out as it is too busy and there is always a rush. But the tasty food in such an economical price makes it one of the best 👌🏼🙌🏼

Never buy atta porotta as a parcel. They gave me porotta where half the part was missing (most likely leftover). Also the lunch there is very bad. Evening dishes are comparatively good which is why many people visit there. That's why I give three stars.

Basic breakfast joint next to MG circle. Poori Baaji was set like cake, Vada was crispy but lacks flavour, Tea tastes more like sugar water. But but but like a said a basic breakfast joint in Kannur.

The only place where we get pure vegetarian recipes and food in Kannur. Thou there are many veg restaurants we hadn't find proper food anywhere. Suggest every one to go for this.
