The entry ticket per person is Rs.100. It's worth for the information they provide. There's a guide inside the place, he will explain all the details of the things kept inside there. Very detailed information. Then they will show a video clip of around 5-10 mins. There are 2 bunkers built by British during their time.Anyone who has interest in Navy life , I will recommend you to visit this place. Worth your time and you will get lot of information also.

Excellent place. The museum gives a really good learning and history about the Role of Indian Navy in the 1971 war. The staff here is really supportive and helps you with a detailed narrative and explanation on all ammunition. The museum hosts proto types as well as original ammunition used by the Navy. It also has an old Helicopter used by the Navy. A great learning place for people interested in this field. There are entry fees of rs 40 per person and the museum remains open till 2 pm.

These bunkers are now museum and open to public. Museum is open on all days except MONDAY. The entry fee is 40 rupees for adults. Half price for students(till plus two). Good place to visit with family. The staff at the museum were very courteous and explained the historical significance of various artifacts brilliantly. Been in the city for so long but never knew about this museum. They charge ₹40 for adults as entry charge. There is sufficient parking available in front of the museum.

This sprawling museum offers a captivating journey through the annals of naval history, showcasing a diverse array of exhibits that highlight the evolution of India's naval forces. Visitors are treated to an immersive experience, delving into the gallant tales of naval triumphs, adorned with an impressive collection of artifacts, weaponry, and models of historic vessels. The museum's meticulous curation provides insights into India's maritime heritage, chronicling the valor, innovation, and strategic advancements of the Indian Navy over the years. Interactive displays, coupled with informative narratives, engage visitors of all ages, making the museum an educational yet enthralling destination. However, accessibility might be a concern for some, given its location slightly away from the city center. In essence, the Indian Naval Maritime Museum in Kochi is a testament to India's naval legacy, offering a fascinating exploration for history enthusiasts and those fascinated by the maritime heritage of the country.

A very informative and engaging museum dedicated to the growth and development of the Indian Naval force laid out in a systematic manner that is easy for the civilians to understand and appreciate. The history traced in two phases encapsulated the origin and gradual growth from the British period to the present. A large collection of 3D models and the weapons besides the ranking system and uniforms in use by the Navy are of great educational value. The outdoor exhibits are a real game changer for the visitors irrespective of their age. Well spread-out over a large area, display of the real equipment used at various times by the India Navy provided valuable insights into the evolution of naval might. Having visited the submarine exhibit in Vishakapatnam and the naval destroyer vessel in Karwar previously, we felt more complete in our understanding of the Navy after this visit.

It was an amazing place to visit. The museum features Indian Navy helicopters, ships, guns, missiles, and jets on display outside. Inside, there are full-body-sized uniforms, guns, badges, and boats on display, each accompanied by a proper description for visitors to read. Additionally, inside, there is a short movie that highlights our past successes in wars. It was a great experience to see all the things our Navy uses to protect us.

The Indian Naval Maritime Museum at Fort Kochi comes under the Indian Navy. The visit of this museum is inspiring in itself when you will see the history of our armed forces. The museum displays the sea power of the Indian Navy. You will be thrilled to see the tokens collected by the Indian Navy so far. These tokens remind us of the major achievements of our Navy. The museum is an ideal place to learn about the Army's glorious past and promising future. A visit to the Maritime Museum will help you understand the role that the Indian Navy played in the 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan. Many of us do not know how the Indian Navy led two groups of armed forces, the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, to a surprise and amazing victory over Pakistan.

Heard of Vasco-Da-Gama who supposed to have discovered the sea route to India from Europe. But, have you heard of the Gujarati sailor Kanji Malam who steered Vaso-da-Gama from Malindi in East Africa to Calicut ? Well, this and many other historical naval maritime facts can be learnt by visiting the museum. As we all know, Malabar coast used to the entry point for sailors across the world to India, you can see old maps, how early european entrants to India - Portugese, Dutch arrived and welcomed by peace loving Kings of Kerala, how Portugese and Dutch tried to occupy them etc historical facts can be visualised. Ofcourse, there are lot of actual Naval warfare - Ships models, war planes, helicopters, bombs etc including bunkers built during 2nd world war can be seen. Naval dress codes, badges, ranks including personal artefacts of Retd.Rear Admiral can be seen here. You can spend 30min to 2hrs here. Entry Fee is INR 50 per head. Mobile cameras allowed normally. We loved this place. Lot to learn about our history.

Beautifully maintained, clean, neat, brilliant narrative boards! Great use of existing bunkers converting it into museum buildings. Preserving important items and making a great presenting stories is a great example. Naval histories are presented with 3d embossed walls. Very clean and nicely maintained. They also have a curator/guide explaining everything in detail. And a small movie presentation hall to run a clip about naval history. All is accessible to wheelchair based visitors too.

I recently visited the Mattanchery Palace in Kochi and was blown away by its rich history and stunning architecture. The palace is a beautiful example of traditional Kerala architecture, with intricate carvings and beautiful artwork adorning its walls and ceilings. I recently visited the Indian Naval Maritime Museum and was thoroughly impressed by the exhibits and displays. The museum provides a fascinating insight into the Indian Navy's rich history and the challenges they faced over the years. The museum's exhibits cover a range of topics, from naval warfare and navigation to marine ecology and shipbuilding. The exhibits are well curated, and there is plenty of information available to help visitors understand the displays. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to see the helicopter that can land both on water and soil and also there were guns and other weapons used earlier by the Indian Navy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their passion for sharing the Navy's history with visitors. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Indian Naval Maritime Museum if you're in the area. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in maritime history and the Indian Navy. "Jai Hind"
