It's a lovely location for picture shoots and hanging out with friends. Megalithic monuments and replicas of mural paintings (some of which are already on the edge  of destruction) can be seen in this summer  palace. I prefer the surroundings than the palace. A small playground constructed next to the palace for the kids. There was a staff named Anupama who guided through the palace by explaining the historical importance and significance of each object as well as the palace itself with so much passion and enthusiasm. She has a very good knowledge in what she is doing over there. She was engaged with all the visitors with a superb energy. I liked her very much.

A palatial bunglow constructed in 1904 by Vasudeva Raja of Kollemgode as a gift to his daughter. ASI took over the building in 80's and a museum with reproduction of various murals sourced from many places in Kerala is displayed on the first floor and the ground floor makes room for some houshold items of the past with details and some memorbilia of the Raja along with some of his potraits. The surrounding courtyard serves as a garden with some mango, and tamarind trees.

A must visit place for those who want to learn and understand history. There are many mural paintings to see. Kollamkod palace will also be interesting for Kerala style architecture lovers. On the surrounding wall, the sculptures are also beautifully done. There is a play area for children. There is a wash room facility that can be used by the disabled

(Translated by Google) This temple was constructed more than a century ago in the town of Chembuka in the city center of Thrissur. In 1975 the Archaeological Survey of Kerala declared the palace as a protected monument. The Zoological Heritage Museum should be considered as a place where you can enjoy the heritage and culture of Thrissur. The fresco gallery, the folklore gallery, the old kitchen, the heritage and the thousandth year old tailor's tools make us feel proud! KOLLENGODE HOUSE : HERITAGE MUSEUM OF THRISSUR Thrissur enjoys the reputation of being the cultural capital of kerala. The kollengode Palace is the prime example of the indigenous architecture that indigenous to the city. The palace which is more than 100 years old represents indo-european style that is a modification of the kerala traditional forms of building construction. King Vasudevaraja of Kollengode Dynasty built the Palace in the year of 1904.Today, the State Archaeological Department is in charge of conserving this majestic structure of grandeur.

Thrissur is home to several beautiful palaces with the Kollengode Palace being one of the most popular of such palaces. Although not as old as the Sakthan Thampuran Palace, it is still more than a hundred years old (104 to be exact) and is now regarded as a heritage building.

The palace has now been modernised at a cost of about two crores and is now a must see location for all kinds of tourists. Display of archaeological items has now been upgraded to world class level. The compound has been fully landscaped and illuminated. A children's park has also been added to entertain the children while the elders watch the artifacts. Parking lot has also been developed to hold 25 cars at a time.

cons i've seen in it on 06/01/2023 4:00 pm approx. palace is not guarded lack of staffs (when i visited there only one was there) not enough explanations artefacts could've maintained well.... ( the robes of vasudevaraja looks worse than a used napkin) no explanation boards not even a proper maintenence the wooden archway from the foyer to the central hall is absolutely dusty..... if the staffs cant maintain them properly fire them all.... put someone who's interested in history and curation.

    (Translated by Google) Visitors to the Thrissur zoo often do not see this place. Like the Shaktan Palace, it has a museum and a park. The palace is not as big as the mighty palace. But the museum is also great. History lovers must see (Original)
