I was happily surprised to see a small shelf of books on display for sale at this restaurant. First time seeing such a set up. Bought one book too. The coffee, the ghee roast .....all good. The ghee was pure and tasted like fresh ghee :)

Chennai Ananda Bhavan at Koratty is one of the best in class options while driving from Trichur towards Ernakulam on NH. Best Vegetarian dishes served here, best quality, good quantity, and best service. Food ***** Ambience ***** Service ***** Location *****

They will give you Vada with every dish you order and charge 20 rs. Imagine how much they earn by giving extra vada without your knowledge. Vada taste was also not good. Rest room where not clean. Please go to a better place instead. Free advice. Disclaimer: this is not adayar anandha bhavan.

It's located on Thrissur Cochin highway and near Korattur. Has a huge parking space with restrooms. The restaurant ambience and quality of the food were good. Service was prompt and had an overall good experience. Some maintenance is required in wash area.

Masala dosa was over crispy.. so it's hard to eat. Milk used for coffee/tea was expired other customers also complained. Uzhunnuvada was exceptionally good. We can saw it's making through the transparent glass to kitchen

Ample of parking space for cars 🚗 are there at entrance 4. It also has electric ⚡️ charging stations for electric car 5. Big entrances for entry and exit 6. Menus are typical South Indian aligned to Tamil Nadu 7. All food and beverages are good quality 8. Bathroom 🚽 are also neat Overall the food 🍱 quality is good and must visit for passengers for natural calls and relaxation before long drive

I visited the Chennai Ananda Bhavan outlet and had an overall okay experience. The food was decent, but it didn't quite exceed my expectations. The service was satisfactory, and the ambiance was pleasant. While I didn't find anything exceptional, it's still a reasonable option for a quick meal.

It's shortly after passing chalakudy (on the way to aluva/ernakulam) on the left side of the highway. We usually stop here for evening tea and snacks (though they serve day long menu). We had amazing food yesterday, and it was the first time we were visiting since lockdown times. I would say the food quality has only gone up. The channa batura, paneer bm, ghee roast, kothu porotta, all of it was really good! And they served it fast and warm. My only complaint would be that they may need some curtain blinds over that long glass windows, for the evening summer sun can be harsh. Try the kothu porotta (in the pic) if you haven't, would be my unique dish suggestion! Edit: Nov 21,2021 We went in at the peak dinner time, maybe that was a reason why the staff seemed clueless and unable to manage the tables well. There was considerable wait times and instances of main course and curry arriving with time lag. It was pricey too, though the dragon paneer was good. Nevertheless it remains a good option for an ideal break at the side of the highway for wary and hungry travelers. Though the junior waiter was sweet and apologetic for the delay, the senior one seemed to be casual. Taking a star off for service which can be improved.

We 6 family member visited restaurant for lunch. But regret to inform you that my visit to your restaurant was regrettable. The staff displayed extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the food did not match the details on the menu, both in terms of quantity and quality. The overall experience was disappointing, and I would strongly advise others against visiting your establishment due to the lack of hospitality and subpar service. The waiter, counter staff are extremely rude in tone. Food is also below average. Avoid visiting this hotel... I think owner neee to go for customers satisfaction and relationship training. We try to communication with counter staff but they are least both and answer very rude way. Do not spend your time and money by visiting this restaurant.

The service and the food are just average. We ordered chapati, porotta , Meals and chilly gopi which were not really great. The staff were not very friendly. The prices were a bit on the higher side. The bakery does have some decent sweets.

Note this is CHENNAI Ananda Bhavan and not Adyar Ananda Bhavan. Not the same standard but just about average. Enough parking inside or on the main road. Toilets are good. Food average. Service average. Overall an okay place for stopover if hungry but not a place for planned eating out.

Anandabhavan is conveniently located beside the national highway, offering ample seating and a menu with standard vegetarian options. While the food quality is decent, it doesn't particularly stand out. It's worth noting that they accept both card and cash payments but don't offer UPI as a payment option. On the plus side, there are plenty of parking spots available. This makes it a suitable choice for highway travelers in groups who require dining space and parking. However, if you're seeking exceptional food taste, Anandabhavan might not be the place that draws you in.

Break fast hub. Alongside NH. Food is good but not worth. Overpriced to be frank considering the taste. Coffe taste better. Uzhunu vada is worth the hype and price. Ample parking space, big vehicles can also park here. Washroom facilities to be more hygienic. Unusual to this category washroom is located inside the restaurant premises.

I didn't like the food. The dosa was not good. The masala dosa had too much salt in the masala, so it was almost impossible to eat. I have eaten from this hotel before but never had such an experience. This is the first time I have had this worst experience.

I have tried breakfast here. It was good especially Vada and sabar was good, but personally I feel masal dosa is undercooked and not crispy. Ambience is good too. Restroom were clean and tidy

I had been to this place about 4 to 5 times. I have a mixed opinion. Most of the time the food was good. But during my last visit, I got a cold vada which was having salt patches as if the Batter was not mixed properly. Considering the price they are supposed to serve hot food. Ample seats and parking is available.

Poor Service and pathetic food . This not the Adayar Anandha Bhavanam we thought it would be . Beware they will serve vada without you ordering and charge it in your bill and when asked they will say that's how the rules are here . Poor management too.

A good vegetarian option for travellers from Thrissur to Kochi. Enough parking and seating space, both AC and Non AC rooms available, good service and quality food. Rest rooms are there. One additional thing we found here is a small kids outdoor play area which kids till 5 years can enjoy. Even though small in size, kids will love it.

Average food! I had a bad experience with chilly parotta.

Had lunch at Chennai Anandabhavan today. Clean hotel with good parking. Food was little bit pricier.

It's in one of the convenient locations on the highway. Ample parking facilities and rest rooms are neat and clean. These areas deserve a four star rating. But the food, serving staff and the overall dining experience kills everything. Never deceive by the anandabhavan branding. Food Taste and quality will disappoint you. Above all the staff approach!! Nobody will come to you after the initial order placement, and they will push you to order everything in a single stretch and will serve the whole with the coffee.. the hospitality of Tamil culture expecting from the name is no where..

Good and delicious food. But little bit costly compared to near by other vegetarian hotels

Good breakfast spot along the highway towards Cochin. They have decent parking space and we can park the vehicle in front besides highway too. Food tastes okay. Ordered ghee roast and Puri Masala. Ghee Roast size seems little small than the usual. Puri was good. Need to work a little on people management.
