Visited during covid times. Only take away option was available. Since my family was travelling for more than 3 hours we badly needed to use the wash room. Staff at saravana bhavan was kind enough to allow us to use thier washroom even during covid situations. Breakfast obviously kept the saravana bhavan standard. Recommended !

If you're on a long drive and looking for a good breakfast spot, this place is definitely worth a stop. While they serve decent vegetarian dishes, my personal favorite is always the plain roast and coffee. The food is tasty and the seating is sufficient, although it can be difficult to find a seat during peak hours. One of the best things about this place is the ample space available for roadside parking. The staff is also quite cooperative, and they offer digital payment options for added convenience. Additionally, there are sweets available at the cash counter if you're in the mood for a little something extra. However, the first impression upon entering the restaurant can be a bit off-putting due to a disagreeable smell. This is definitely something they could work on to improve the overall experience. Additionally, the prices may be a bit higher than your average vegetarian restaurant, so keep that in mind. That being said, the food is good, the parking is sufficient, and the location is easily reachable. It's also a hygienic spot to grab a bite, although wheelchair accessibility may be limited. If you're in the area for lunch, they offer a meal with 9 different types of side dishes, served with your choice of normal or Ponni rice. Overall, this is a relatively busy restaurant located near Nedimbassery Airport. Despite the smell issue, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, with a variety of tasty, authentic Tamil cuisines to choose from. The chutneys are particularly delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Initial time quality of food, services all were good l. But today we visited again and we were 5 members with 3 children. Rice was not boiled properly and quality of food was poor. Staff's services were also disappointing (few staff's). Pls improve as we have good expectations. Thanks

Disgusting!! Absolutely disgusting!! The womans washroom is broken and a disgusting mess. Unhygienic to the max. The servers are washing thier nose and serving the food without washing thier hands. Sneezing right next to the tea. Nightmare of an experience

Visited this restaurant on a weekday afternoon for late lunch. It wasn't much crowded. we ordered some dosas and chapatis. the food turned up prety quick. the food was good as well. I liked the sambar especially. The waiter who was attending us was also very prompt. when any of the accompaniments to the dish were about to be completed, he was coming up with replenishment for them. Appreciate that, there is some one who understands what the customer might need. It's not that heavy on the pocket as well.

Sri Saravana Bhavan is an absolute delight for food lovers, especially those who appreciate South Indian cuisine. During my visit to one of their outlets, I was instantly drawn in by the inviting aroma of freshly prepared dishes and the warm ambiance. The restaurant's dΓ©cor showcased a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered an extensive variety of authentic South Indian dishes, and I was spoiled for choice. I decided to start with a classic Masala Dosa, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful potato masala. The accompanying chutneys and sambar complemented the dosa beautifully. Next, I tried their Medu Vada, and I was impressed by how light and fluffy it was, with a golden-brown crust. It paired wonderfully with the tangy coconut chutney. The Pongal, a savory rice and lentil dish, was another highlight. It had a creamy texture and was seasoned just right. The service at Sri Saravana Bhavan was attentive and friendly. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and readily offered recommendations. They ensured that all my needs were met and promptly addressed any queries I had. What stood out to me was the consistent quality of the food. Each dish was prepared with care, using fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The attention to detail and the culinary expertise were evident in every bite. Overall, my experience at Sri Saravana Bhavan was exceptional. It not only satisfied my cravings for South Indian cuisine but also exceeded my expectations in terms of taste, ambiance, and service. I would highly recommend Sri Saravana Bhavan to anyone looking for an authentic South Indian dining experience.

Simple vegetarian food that was good. The service was quick, too. However, the ambiance of the place needs improvement. Else the dining was great. Parking space is limited.

Very average place, only stop by if you have to fill up your stomach. The plain roast dosa and Vada are so average, even the coffee. Not recommended if taste is a priority.

Worst experience faced here among the chain restaurant of sri mu saravana bhavan. Ordered 1.bhel puri- really hard with old channa BTW this was replacement of over cooked puri, 2. idli set- dried idli without chutney and sambar. 3. Panner pepper fry - oily and dry. I don't recommend this store, they gotta provide better like athani store. Hope this reach management for better service

The hotel has two divisions. Most of the time, I had Channa Battura from the restaurant, the food is delicious. The restaurant has got good seating capacity. Even though in writing it mentioned that it's an AC restaurant, never seen it works. Tea and coffee are overpriced. The facade of the hotel is for Refreshments, mostly it aims for quick bites and choices of Refreshments like sweets and vegetarian snacks are available hand to hand. Pricing here looks normal and carry-out is also a good option from the cafeteria. Also, they have a party hall that can accommodate 50 pax I guess.

Fairly good hotel. Been there several times but had ghee roast only all the time. Ghee roast and vada are good. Coffee is average. No idea about the rest. Usually a crowded place, especially during Sabarimala season.

  • 3/5 Amudhan S. 10 months ago on Google
Poor customer service. They just want you to eat as much as you can and leave so that few more can get it. Very crowded at times. Worst Sri Mu Saravana Bhavan branch I ever visited. Poor parking management.

I'm taking about the store that is open after 11 pm at night. Not the store in day time, that's average 😏. But believe me, the dosa, crispy Vada and chai/coffee/boost available at Night is superb and the best Vada we had ever. Excellent πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

We went to this restaurant and had masala dosa and ghee roast, both of which were delicious. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. The only downside was the restroom's location at the back of the building.

The ambiance was cozy, and the staff's attentiveness added to a positive dining experience. While some dishes were a hit, others fell slightly short in terms of execution. Overall, it's a commendable choice for those seeking a vegetarian dining option with a comfortable atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of dining at Saravana Bhavan Vegetarian Hotel in Angamaly and decided to try out their offerings. My order consisted of tea, 2 vadas, bhattura, and watermelon juice. The experience left me with a mix of opinions. The vada, unfortunately, didn't meet my expectations. Its taste was rather average, lacking the crispiness and flavor I had hoped for. However, the bhattura was a delightful surprise. It boasted a satisfying texture and was well-seasoned, redeeming the overall dining experience. One highlight worth mentioning is the restaurant's parking space. Finding parking in crowded areas can often be a challenge, but Saravana Bhavan Vegetarian Hotel had ample parking available. This convenience added to the overall comfort of the visit. While the vada was a bit of a letdown, the delicious bhattura and the ease of parking certainly made up for it. The staff was courteous and the ambiance was pleasant, enhancing the dining experience. With a bit of improvement in the vada's preparation, Saravana Bhavan could easily become a go-to spot for vegetarian cuisine in Angamaly.

Went to this restaurant to meet friends who had just arrived at the airport. Since the restaurant was full, I got into the AC service area. A washroom opened to the AC seating area. The AC service area was stinking. I informed the staff there they didn't seem to be able to do much. After 5 minutes of waiting, I stepped out and chose to sit in the crowded non-AC area. Eventually I left the place and met my friends at another restaurant nearby. I didn't try their food as I didn't survive that long.

If you are a true foodie at heart then you must try Saravana Bhavan meals once. They have the best best south Indian cuisines and the owner of the place is such a nice guy. He was personally attending customers and food was hell good.. Simple tasty and authentic Kerala style cooking. Loved it a lot.

Good food and prompt service but the whole establishment as of 27/10/21 has a run down air to it which detracts from an otherwise good dining experience. Nothing that a fresh coat of paint and minor repairs can't rectify. As a stop for a quick bite it can't be faulted.

One of our usual stops for breakfast in this route. The place serves decent vegetarian dishes although my pick here is always the plain roast and coffee.. food is decent and they have sufficient seatings.. can be difficult to find a seat at peak times...

We visited this place twice on the same day - once for having Lunch and a second time for Tea & Snacks. We chose it primarily because it was clean and had washrooms which were also reasonably clean. Lunch consisted of Aloo Masala and Dal Tadka and was ok, but on the spicier side, which is why my rating is 3 stars. The tea was good, as were the vegetable pakoras.

I had masala dosa and coffee early in the morning when the crowd was average. There are maybe 3 parking spots in front but we had parked roadside a bit further from the restaurant that day. For the side dishes, sambar was okay, coconut chutney was cold but had an average amount of coconut scrapes in it. Although it was cold, it did not feel like it was a day old; may have been just refrigerated since early morning. Coffee was great. Toilet was located a bit further from the dining area and suffered from average cleanliness.
