Expensive meal with little to no service, staff seemed uninterested in any attention to detail. We ended up clearing our own plates to keep our table clear, 2 entrees came out of the kitchen 10 minutes before the 3 rd entree was brought out. We cancelled my husbands meal because he would be eating after we were done. Complained to the manager who said he would call the next day and take care of us for this expensive fiasco, but still no contact 48 hours later. Five star prices for 1 star service. Management does not appear to care. Not Recommended. Take your money elsewhere.

Why do our own people discriminate us in our hometown? We went here for dinner and was tossed around to three different dining areas inspite of telling them that we preferred the outdoor sea view area. They made us wait there(did not even offer a seat) for another good ten minutes and told us that a table was free but was not cleaned, so we'll have to sit inside. When asked if cleaning the table was not a solution to the problem, hesitantly they agreed and asked us to wait until it was prepared. In plain sight, there were three or more tables free. We thought we'll decide on what to order while we wait and asked for a menu and was given an exclusive seafood menu. Apparently, they don't serve anything else outdoor which was a little hard to believe. All of this happened right when the manager was standing there who seemed very condescending and unapolegetic. We decided to leave the property as we're not fond of seafood and were put off by the behaviour of the staff. There was one person who noticed we were leaving, and he tried to address our concern to the same manager. This manager to our shock shrugged it off as we didn't matter, right in front of our eyes.

My wife and I visited the Armory for an anniversary lunch and were blown away by the ambiance, quality of food and service. We tried Continental as well as Kerala food - both were excellent, and the service by Ajosh and the rest of the staff helped us enjoy our experience even more. We had the tiger prawns, fish and chips, and the paneer dish, along with some of their signature cocktails and a bottle of Sula Chenin Blanc. One of the best fine dining experiences we've had in India. Must try!

Experiencing The Historical Hotel is more than just the food. As we entered the stunning building we were greeted with the beautiful smell of sandalwood and warm smiles from the staff. We called ahead to ensure there were vegan options. There were many options and our waiter knew his menu very well, ensuring us what the vegan options were. They also have a some tasty fruity mocktails, as ones who don’t drink alcohol this was a nice treat. I would suggest dining at Brunton for anyone wanting to experience a quiet and beautiful atmosphere. There was live music which added to our candlelit dinner. We will be back.

There is no doubt that it's a fine dining restaurant. Indoor as well as outdoor space is clean and nice. The outdoor space is near the river, the only noise disturbance is from the frequent ferry service. Food was delicious and well plated so you can expect the price to be a bit high along with the taxes. One issue i felt is that they dont provide menu instead we need to scan QR code, since the network was weak we faced issue in viewing it.

Terribly slow and even more expensive. They told us 45 minutes for preparation but it was 90. Down one staff for illness they still didn't check on us and we had to pursue them for water to drink. The bill was still over 10,000 rupees. It is also hot and most because you sit directly next to the ferry. There are better and cheaper places within easy walking distance.

Chef made very nice and tasty dishes. Staff who served us, Sanjay very professionally presented himself and the food that he had suggested and served ! Restaurant setting very traditional yet comforting, musicians playing traditional music using traditional instruments, created a very soothing background.

When we went the staff were excellent. Our server, Abhinav was superb and very happy and smiley. We really enjoyed our food and absolutely loved that every dish on the menu of the history restaurant had a history lesson as to why it was there. Overall we left well fed and feeling like we knew more about the cuisine of Kochi and highly pampered by the staff.

I really enjoyed the ambience, service and the live music. Only downside is the taste of the food. I did not enjoy even a bit. I ordered for barwan mirch and veg tiffin meal. Both of them did not taste good. I ordered for veg food. My husband ordered non veg. Even that did not taste good. The food tastes very bland. Foreigner may like it not Indians.

Nice place. Hospitable staff. A special mention about Mr ASHWIN PAUL. He was quite helpful during our whole stay. I had forgotten some things in the room while checking out. ASHWIN PAUL had ensured that it was couriered to the railway station, where I was waiting for my return train. This had helped me avoid a lot of inconvenience.

The place will take us back to India before Independence. We can see antique materials used during the 18th century. The food & service was excellent.

Great restaurant with some more refined dishes. More expensive than your average restaurant but price/quality is on point. Also very courteous staff and fairly short wait times for your food. Definitely recommended to visit.

Beatiful place with a nice variety of dining options. You can sit inside the restaurant or eat next to the water with a wonderful view of the backwaters. The food is inspired by the local cuisines of the region. Its delicious and has that authentic feeling that is honestly difficult to find with the slew of restaurants who make a claim to that authenticity. Special mention must be made of the restaurant staff who are courteous and accomodating. An amazing experience that i can wholeheartedly reccomend.

Nice spot, but the outdoor seating was under going maintenance. The place feels authentic to Kerala traditions and setup. Mostly a foreign crowd who is new to Kerala will find this exciting, else's it s just ok

Wonderful experience, warm welcoming staff... perfecto for a romantic date. Review is not complete without taking the name of the Waiter- Mr.Vishnu; he was extraordinary. Special thanks to the chef for such a delightful food. Impressive presentation. Do try Indian oregano crisps and grilled fish.
