A beautiful beach located at kodungallur. Muzhiris azheekkod munnakkal beach. No entry fees. Parking is available. 5rs for two wheelers. Toilets, dress change rooms are available and well maintained. Tropical trees add beauty to the beach. Little polluted though Icecream vans, food stalls inside and outside the beach. There is also a children's park which opens at 3 pm. I went on a weekday and was less crowded. Numerous seating facilities are available. One of my most favorite beaches.

It's a good beach to visit with family. You have places to sit, pathways, children's park, cafes, restaurants, toilets and is nicely maintained. Only issue was, when I visited, sea was rough and was at a lower level and shore sand was at a height. So could not enter into water. It was good to see few policemen guarding and informing tourists not to enter water.

The beach is cool. But cause it's popular there's a ton of waste, especially under the pine trees. And there's a chance of drowning around the estuary area, they've put up warning signs for that.

The best beach in Thrissur district.. actually it a area where Periyar and Chalakudy river meets the Arabian sea..so this area is famous for its harbour ..also this have a history to tell..as it was one of India's oldest port .the history of Muziris...this beach exactly inbetween Ernakulam and Thrissur....about the beach it's wonderful you can experience the beauty of river and sea....you can see lot of tropical trees near to beach which is iconic..many movies where shooted here ...you can also experience kind of sea bridge...and I must say the beach here is not that much safe for bathing, but it have more space and lots of food, icecream stalls are available...and good parking facility....the best way to outting with family.. Children's park is there , it need to be improved and kites are available...! My favourite beach in the world

A good place to spent some time with friends and families. The childres play area is available, Its make them happy. Munakkal Beach is a beach in Azhikode, Thrissur of Thrissur District in Kerala State. It is the largest beach in Thrissur District and lies on the coast of Arabian Sea. The beach is situated 8 kilometers from Kodungallur town. The beach was developed under the tsunami rehabilitation programme by Harbour Engineering Department. A 400-metre open-air auditorium, 1300 metre walkway, toilets, food courts, skateboarding grip for children and a rain shelter are the major attractions of the beach.

This is a good place to visit with family and kids nearby Kodungallur for a outing. There is a children's park as well and beach surrounding is neat. The place may get crowded in weekend. They have a dedicated parking which has limited space and parking can be a hassle on crowded days.

The first thing one notices about the beach is the space. It is mighty big and a reasonable big crowd can still find pockets of privacy with their group. The location bordering backwaters with its Chinese net scenery is arrived by traveling through narrow roads. Once, you reach the place, the parking is sufficient on most days and safe. The beach has walkways and an interesting pine forest. The food, refreshment facilities are not great. There are bathing, washing facilities at the beach. However, it cleanliness and the maintenance needs a lot of improvement.

Beautiful place to visit. The sea and the river meets here. A great fishing spot for many estaury species. Weekends are full with lots of visitors. Clsoely guarded by lifeguards and police. Safe! The overall experience could be a little less smellier with better fish waste managment from nearby businesses.

It's a beautiful beach with activities like quad bike ride, horse ride etc. (Not sure whether horse ride will be there always, the guy told he bring the horse for sale when we approach him, luckily one of us got a chance to horse ride). There's paid parking available.

A great place for clicking pictures and fily hangout. We were able to do kite flying which is available all over the beach. A great place for family hangout provides great enjoyment for children. Helicopter flying is available at some part of the year.

It was a pathetic experience. We couldn't reach there since we got stuck in the traffic block in the beach side. Because vehicles were parked in both side of beach road and hence no vehicles could move for a long time. There is no police or any arrangement to solve traffic block. We just reached the road end and had to return without getting down from the car since vehicles were in front and back like a big queue. Really a sad experience which wasted our family weekend.
