Thriprayar Shree Ramaswami Temple is Hindu temple situated in Triprayar in Thrissur district of Kerala state in India. The deity is Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, with four arms bearing a conch, a disc, a bow and a garland. The temple is situated on the bank of river Theevra. The temple deity is the presiding deity of Arattupuzha Pooram. It is believed that the idol here was worshipped by Lord Krishna, another avatar of Lord Vishnu in Dwarka. Along with Lord Rama, there are shrines for Lord Shiva as Dakshinamoorthy, Lord Ganesha, Lord Sastha and Lord Krishna. It is the first among the four temples housing the four sons of King Dasharatha, popularly known as Nalambalams, the others being Koodalmanikyam Temple in Irinjalakuda housing Bharata, Thirumuzhikoolam temple housing Lakshmana and Payammal housing Shatrughna in that order. It is believed that worshipping these temples on a single day in the Malayalam month of Karkadakam is very auspicious, and thus many devotees visit these temples. Thriprayar temple used to be owned & administered by the 3 famous Nambudiri families namely Cheloor mana, Janappilly Mana and Punnappilly Mana before it was handed over to the Cochin Devaswom Board. Still, the heads of these three families serve as the Ooralans of the temple and take part in the rituals and festivals in accordance with the customs.

Temple is not very large, but the ambience is pretty good. Even though it is well kept, effort can still be made to maintain it better. All the temple authorities seemed rude. They just don't like if we try to ask them something. They just answer in one word and try to shoo us off. We even went to annadanam. It was well organized. Food quality was good. But it felt as though they just wanted to serve us the bare minimum and get away with it. Its not possible to get the full satisfaction that we had a good food and walk away blessed. Even though this review might seem very negative, I would recommend everyone to come and visit this temple as we can feel the presence of Sree Rama deity here. And in the end, that is all that matters. Hare Ram!

The most famous temple dedicated to lord Rama in Kerala. What should I say, this temple is magnificent. The temple is located at the banks of karuvanur river ( Teevra River), and the view from the other bank is just breathtaking. As I mentioned, the main murthi is Rama.Other dieties include Goshala Krishnan, Ganesh and Shastavu. The presence of Hanuman is also believed to be present in the temple. The idol of Rama is believed to be worshipped by Lord Krishna. The main offerings are Vedi Vazhipadu, meenootte , Ney vilakk and ambum villum. The temple atmosphere is so energetic as it gives you vibes of both guruvayoor and ambalapuzha. It's a must visit temple in south India. Bus service is available from Trissur to reach the temple. Good parking facilities, toilets and hotels are also available for devotees.

A river always gives great divinity and incredible beauty to temples. The temple which rests on the banks of Purayar river gives incredible beauty and majesty to one of the most sought after temples in South India. A bit overshadowed by the might of Guruvayur temple; Triprayar temple withstood the test of time and satisfies countless devotees who flow from far corners of this country. If you want to visit the temple, I recommend you to avoid the season times when there will be a huge rush. You can easily access the temple and it is well connected from both Thrissur and Ernakulam.

A very popular Sree Rama temple, on the way to Guruvayur (from Ernakulam). There are different offerings peculiar to this temple. The main deity is Sree Rama and then there is Ganapathi and Sathavu (Ayyappa). A very calm and peaceful place. Men should wear dhoti to enter. Ample parking available in the nearby parking area of Dewaswam.

Visited on a weekday. Not a crowded place on usual days and we can get Darshan easily on these days. If we go in the malayalam month of Karkadakam (July mid to Aug mid), it will be so much crowded and long queue will be there. Shirts/tsirts/pants are no allowed to wear inside the temple for men.

Pure bliss! Welcome to the famous and oldest Sri Rama temple of Triprayar. This temple boasts of many ancient worshipping processes of the deity. You can also burst crackers for the God by paying a nominal price. Towards the backside is the beautiful river which simple catches the beauty of Kerala. Feeding fish is considered auspicious so don't forget to do it. The compound is huge and you should definetely be going around to see the ancient architecture of the whole place. During Nov-Dec it boasts of Ekadashi festival which attracts lakhs of people from across the state. Around 15-20 elephants arrive at the temple to participate in the festivities. Overall a Blissful place.

Thriprayar temple is a famous Rama Swamy kshetram and is part of Naala ambalam Darshanam. It has a nice serene view if taken from the river front. Usually we enter the temple from its west nada. And it feels crowded there but it we come to front side it is beautiful and less crowded.

The temple is located in Thrissur district, it can be reached via NH66. You can reach by using public transports too. You can never miss the temple from the road because it has a huge arch in the entrance. The main deity is lord Ram and a lot of people visit this temple because of historic significance.

Nice ambience, Feels positive after the visit… there are many difference compared to other temple idols. There is meenuttu, giving rice to the fish’s in river in front of temple… mens can wear pants inside but temple but not shirts… Staffs need to be little more polite, I feels they speak very rude when asking something which we didn’t know or hear properly when they said once…

(Translated by Google) Triprayar Sri Ramaphran Temple You can only come to this temple (s) if you call Sri Ramaphran as "he worships the sheet by himself". Some people enjoy and spend karma unknowingly, while others enjoy receiving and knowing what karma will do for money. Still others understand that the principle of action is karma and run very cautiously without catching karma and ride it on a horse when it is exhausted and dying. These will be the patrons of the Siddharthas. If all these people come here, it will be enough if they get the grace of Sri Rama Pran ... Brahma Mukurtha Darshan is the best way to understand this as his karma dissolves and a new way is born which becomes his opportunity. A good place to bring your kids and family members for your spiritual journey and inner peace requirements. It is one of the oldest temples in India and has a rich heritage. Various functions, pooja's, and abhishekam's are performed on a regular basis. You can deposit money for conducting annadanam on a special day based on your personal requirements. The parking lot is not covered and your vehicles 🚘🚙🚗🛵🛴🚲 are out in the open. The temple is well maintained and is clean.
