It's good for one day trip... Well maintained. Boat is self Rowling.... But their services are very bad. Difficult to reach.

Great place for a prefect weekend getaway. There are various packages available which include various activities amongst the mangroves including a light snack and lunch. Activities include peddle boating, rowing boat, motor boat ride, fishing, walk amongst the mangroves. Whole day filled up with fun and beautiful sights. The food served are also tasty and excellent staff support who are friendly and welcoming. Be ready with an attire that is comfortable to walk in little high water as it is a low lying piece of land and the high tide and low tide sometimes makes the place little messy... On the other side of the road is Mali kadapuram so you can enjoy the beach also before you return. Local shops available to buy things. Would highly recommend

Very bad place.Entry fee for holidays is Rs 300.There is nothing to see and enjoy. The pedal is boat-free, but the only downside is that it's worth the wait. Because he only has two pedal boats. Neither I nor my family liked it. All I can say is that no one is going to come here.....

The route is so bad. Also local boys asking for money contributions to the visitors for their business, which i felt so irritate. The route road is very bad and with pot holes. The team does not know how to handle rush. Perhaps they show unhappiness to the visitors inside the restaurant. As I visited christmas day there was not much rush. Still it was not so great inside restaurant. Less seats than visitors and no token system. The aged guys may suffer with the system. Not recommended for them. The "Kandal Park" is so nice and everyone can enjoy there. Boating is also good.

The best place to spend a day. This place provides the facilities to spend your day and make it a memorable one. Last time we visited, the road to reach this place was under construction. It was difficult to drive the car through that road as it was flooded too. You have to buy tickets before entering. There are different packages and the cost also varies. There is boating facilities( pedal boat) through mangroves and in the fish farm we have rowing boat. There are different activities like fishing, boating and also to watch "meenchattam". It was a good experience to see fish jump, but should be careful as they might jump on us.In the package they provide tea, a snack(pazhampori) and lunch. The lunch is tasty and the prawns pickle tastes awesome. Along with this, you can even order other things like crabs, prawns, kakka and even chicken and beef items are available which are at afforable rates. After this you can even visit the beach nearby, Malipuram Beach. Its not tha tsafe to go alone to that beach as its kind of abandoned area. There are trees, similar to kuzhippily beach , where you can chill and enjoy( please go in grps for safety).

Good food and unique experience here. About 12 Km form city center. For 250 Rs (adults) you get to visit the Mangrove forest with walking path through it and information boards about the flora and fauna, bait and tackle for fishing, half hour pedal / row boat, tea/coffee and Kerala style lunch with fresh caught fish fry and curry and 1 cup ice cream. 500 Rs extra (minimum 3 per) and you get the Flying Fish experience where they drive motor boats in circles and the fish jumps around or into your boat. You can keep the fish for 200 Rs / Kg. There are also hammoks where you can rest.

I have gone thru so many places but this one was suggested by a family friend. You can have a quality time spend with your family & friends here. Entry pass should be taken since it's a tourism spot now. Place with scenic views of mangrove forests and backwater tourism. Pedal boating and speed boating is available there. If you reach there around noon it will be great so that you can have the lunch & desert(Good, self service) and then go for pedal boating, even it's hot now a days here due to the mangrove forest n beach side you won't feel so hot. After that you can spend some time with angling(Choonda ittu meen pidikkal) , it's pretty cool. I fishes caught so can be taken with us by paying a nominal charge to them. In the evening you can leave there after having a tea and can visit the kandal park atlast. Njarackkal beach and puthuvype light house is nearby.

Really disappointed with the staff attitude towards foreign travelers. Me and my friend visited this place for lunch unfortunately my friend was a traveler from Europe. They staff asked me to show corona positive certificate taken with in 48 hours to enter this place. All the borader open for travelers and this restrictions only for foreigners and other state people, no problem for local people if they are corona positive. Finally we reach Edavanakkad and had nice Kuzhinanthi. We must support tourists and travelers. Change your attitude it is shame we behave like this to travelers.

Long back i have visited this place with ma family. Surely this will be an enjoyable place for both kids and elders. 🥉 Try to reach by morning - since this is a water adventures activity, most of the time u need spend time in sun light. The more u become late, the fast u will get tired off. 🥉Try to keep snacks - it's a kind of remote location, shops are very limited. 🥉Car parking - at time of mine visit, we didn't felt much difficulty in parking. 🥉 Caps and umbrella - this could help you in protection from direct sunlight. 🥉 Toilet - yes, its available for both gents and Ladies. 🥉 Ticket - ticket is must for all visitors. I couldn't remember the fair. But it's very affordable. 🥉 Food - you will get tickets for food from the same counter where u took tickets. ⚠️ Approach road is not much good, need to improve. ⚠️ No any security for car parking. ⚠️ Waiting is bit high, can be reduced by adding boat. ⚠️ Attitude of employees are average. ⚠️Not much worthy for the money what we paid. That's all from my side. Leave 👍 if the review is helpful to others.

Good place to visit with children - has children's park, boating and fishing facilities. 'Flying fishes' is newly introduced attraction and will provide real fun and excitement. The entry fee covers welcome drink, good homely meal with fish curry, icecream and preliminary boating but you have to pay extra for witnessing 'flying fishes'. Also you have to pay extra for each fish catching stick. FLYING FISHES: This is one of the unique attraction here. For this the organizers had grown 'milk fish' (poo meen) up to 1kg in two big fields. The special feature of milk fish is that they jump out of water when there is enough disturbances on the water. Two boats with the visitors will be driven into the fields circling continuously will make the fishes jump out of water continuously which is excellent to witness. 1.Always GO TO THE FISH FIELDS WITH 2 BOATS.If u have viewers that can be accommodated in one boat, just wait. It worth the wait as one boat does not make enough impact to make the fish fly enough. 2.The water level in fish fields are approximately 1 meter. So organizers will say no need for life jacket. DEMAND LIFE JACKETS 4 KIDS. Safety comes first. 3.Fish may jump into ur boat and may hit you. Don't panick - fish above 1 kg are removed from the field regularly so it may not cause impact on u even if it hits. FISHING STICKS: You will get enough fish-catching-sticks with its prey (made mixing wheat flour with turmeric powder). With the type of hook and prey u will get good no of 'green chromide' (kari meen) fishes. However people may find it difficult to catch unless u have experience. Some tips r given below 1.Never try to catch fish in clear water - choose the dark waters / where u have shade 4 catching the same. 2.Put the prey on hook as little as possible. 3.Observe those who are catching the fish closely and do it in same place and same style if u fail continuously in your attempts. 4. BE CAREFUL, the hooks when taken out of water suddenly, can strike the nearby / kids. Nearby attractions: Cherai beach Munambam beach Kuzhuppilli beach Full day recommendation: 10am - 2pm malippuram aqua tourism 3pm - 5pm munambam and cherai beach 5pm - 7pm kuzhuppilli beach & chemmeen k.

Experienced food shortage and waited for a long time to get food since seats are less. Actually we have informed 3 times in call that we will be reaching a little bit late and ensured that food will be there. But sambhar was completely finished and got a very very small fish fry and curry. Also they were hesitated to give all curries second time. So we couldn't enjoy the tasty food. Also no fish jump (meen chattam) was there. Speed boat was not working. Mangrove trees (Kandal kaadukal) was so dirty with full of waste and cannot spend time there. Cannot sit anywhere in the benches there since it was all full of dirt :( Requesting the owners to please maintain this beautiful place.

Good place for a day family outing, calm and quiet location, beautiful nature very cheap price and good local meals with tasty fish dishes. It’s a government organization and they must invest on this location to improve the basic facilities and attract more tourists.

This is the worst place I have ever been. There is no facility of any kind .. the bathroom is so bad that you can't even look at it. Similarly, they spend more money without even having a place to sit out of the sun. The boats we use here are in a dangerous condition due to lack of proper maintenance. Also, if you want to use the poor facilities, you need to make a booking etc. I pray that no one in their life should ever go and spend time here. Waste of your money and time. The only good thing here is the food.

Flying fish was fun.. food was bad ... not much of a place to visit. Staff in the restaurant were not pleasant, maybe tired of serving the only 10 guests available. The beach nearby (outside the premises) was great. And the billing system need to improve... (got a bill way less than the amt paid.. my mistake only checked after leaving the place).

Lot of improvement is required for the place to be considered as a aqua tourism centre. Employees at the centre arr are not at all friendly. Food is included in the ticket of Rs. 200. Food is good. Pure Kerala style. Major places are 'Meenchattom' or jumping fish and angling. There is also a mangrove forest to see. They take us in boat to the fish field then fishes jumps due to the disturbance of the boat. You can see fish jumping if you are lucy. Charge is Rs. 250. As the jumping of fish is affected by level of water (more water less jumping) a sk the staff there before taking the ticket. Angling facility only for name sake. You are not going to get any fish. Not provided proper angler or bait. Overall not worth at present state of the center. But it can be developed to an excellent if authorities take interest.

To be honest. There isn't much to see here. The activities at this place are Jumping fish. Rowing boat, paddle boat, fishing and a mini mangrove forest where you can click a couple of good pictures. Once I got there they had informed me that there aren't a lot many fishes as before after the Kerala flood. The main fish there is milkfish also known as poomeen. The jumping fish activity is the team would take you on a boat around the lake and would trigger the water which would make the milkfish jump out of the water which is a great sight to see. Unfortunately not too many fishes there to jump. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful sight to see. Fishing is just a waste of time and money. They would give you maida as bait and a rod and you can try fishing along the edges of the lake. You can go up to any point and fish. If you are lucky you might get a fish or two. I wasn't fortunate enough after I spent an hour. The point is there aren't so many fishes there to catch. If you find peddle boating or row boating a fun activity to do then you should try it. But if it's a hot sunny day I would not recommend the activity. The food served is pretty good. Fish curry meals, this consist of rice, fish curry(one piece of milkfish), 2 sabzi and prawn pickle ( I suppose, the menu keeps changing). After lunch you get an ice cream and in the evening you get chai or coffee with a snack. Then we have the mini mangrove forest which is a good place to relax. And click pictures. I feel there is a lot this place can improve on. RN the quality of service is bad and this is mainly because of lack of tourists at this place and the management has no money to make things better. Over all 2 rating and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they ramp up the place and make it better.

It's a quaint place to witness a bit of marine milk fish aka poomeen aka chanos chanos jumping out of the water as the 7 seater motorboat makes way through the water disturbing their afternoon siesta, yes quiet a few jumps were seen, I had the personal pleasure of having a few hit me in the face and plop onto the boat itself where they fluttered about before they were caught by the expert hands of the boatman and yours truly and flung back to their home. I'll admit the amenities are a bit lacking and run by a small staff of overworked but truly graceful women who prepared a pretty rustic and not so terribly spicy(I can't handle spicy food, I know I should lose my citizenship for that disability lol) fish thali (meal) with a side of whatever seafood they have in stock (They will take special meal requests if paid in advance) vegans....don't bother you're going moan about it anyways so find something better elsewhere. Honestly this place has potential, if they charged a higher ticket rate and developed it further, Also, I don't see why people moan about pricing here, it was far below reasonable and affordable even to the economically far weaker sections of society. Also come here during the working weekdays where it's empty and avoid holidays, unless you like overcrowded human cesspools.

Waste of money and time. Most of the areas are covered by water hyacinth. And mangrove area is mostly submerged. Only a small farm in which boating can be done for a while. Charges are unreasonable high. Entry 150, mangrove area 20 extra, boating 100 extra, angling can be done but fish is chargeable. How could this place be listed as tourist place?

When I visited 3 years back, it was a nice experience. But when I visited today: There are no amities other than fishing Everything seems to be uncleaned Food was very bad and disgusting. Food rate was also comparatively high. For 3 meals, 3 small prawns roast and small fish priced Rs. 920 for us Entry fee was 150 for one pax, took ticket for child less than 10 years also. Very bad experience.

You can enjoy mangrove park and pedal boats here. But earlier attraction of fish jumping to boat while speed driving is not there. Not well maintained. Speed boat is there but the area of boating is reduced

Positives: - It's a nice place to spend a day with family. - Superb Food. - Really enjoyed catching fish , row boating and pedal boating. - There is an adjacent beach also nearby. Negatives: The downside is that, the mangrove forest is not well maintained, the walkway is rusty. A little more maintenance, especially the mangrove forest can uplift the overall experience. Final verdict: We really enjoyed the place and planning to visit again.

This place has an abundant tourism potential ,but least exploited. The inroad to the place was not tarred. I had large expectations regarding the place seeing the pics on Google ,but was disappointed.Only positive streak was the fresh fish they served. The entry ticket is highly priced because it includes two boat rides. This should be made optional. Not all person could row a boat on his own,and may be not be interested for pedal boating also. They could give a choice for speed boat in lieu of these two.

A great place for a day out. You get to do rowing, pedal boating, see meen chattam (jumping fish), have tea and snacks, lunch, do fishing and just chill. There's a beach within walkable distance too. Great fir families and kids will love the beach. Not too crowded unlike other beaches.

A place that can be a good tourist attraction if approached a little more professionally. Fishing and pedal boating facilities are available here. A lunch of traditional rice, fish fry and fish curry is available from the farm's small restaurant. More dishes will be prepared if inform them earlier. It is disappointing that the farm and the adjoining mangrove park do not receive enough attention.

Amenities are very less. Food is not much better. However u can spend appx. 3hours here. For seeing fish jumping Rs 100per person charge. It's best time to view fish jumping is evening time.
