A perfect weekend getaway. But I can't get to the Waters for now. You can enjoy the scenic beauty. Walkthrough the hanging bridge. Need to have a compulsory vaccination certificate (at least a single dose). When you walk across the hanging bridge you will reach thumboormuzhy side where there is a butterfly garden and few viewpoints in the watchtower. There is an entry fee of 15/head there also. All in all, children will enjoy it very much. Also, there are good spots for photos.

I recently visited the Ezhattumughan Dam and I must say that it was a wonderful experience. The dam is located in a beautiful location and the sunset view is simply stunning. The parking space is ample and there are enough facilities available for visitors. One thing to note is that swimming is allowed only if there is less water, as it can be dangerous otherwise. However, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy, such as boating and fishing. The surroundings of the dam are peaceful and serene, making it a perfect spot for a day out. It's important to note that two tickets are required to visit the dam - one for the bridge and one for the dam itself. The tickets are reasonably priced and offer good value for money. Overall, I would highly recommend the Ezhattumughan Dam as a great place to relax and unwind. The scenic beauty, peaceful surroundings, and various activities make it an ideal spot for a day trip.

On Monday we are planed for a bike ride to athirapally waterfalls unfortunately the waterfalls are now closed (23/11/2020) due to the pandemic situation . We reach there at morning 9. Then we returned to ezhattumugham !! That was awesome place we can spend a whole day here with our family. There is a small restaurant that we can have brake fast and lunch. We had dosha and chammanthi good . I love the place.

Very Nice place with a hanging bridge connecting both sides of the river. There are small parks with kids play area. Entrance fees applicable . Too risky to enter water. One of the main problem with this place is toilets. After spending this much money for the infrastructure still the people responsible for this facility don’t have a clue , how to keep the toilets clean.

It is situated on the way of famous waterfall Athirappilly. You can go there after rainy⛈️ season it is very beautiful. A hanging bridge🌉 and beautiful park is there makes it is more beautiful. The water from the dam is diverted through Valathukara and Edathukara, two canals, for irrigation purposes.

One of the beautiful places in India. You can walk through the steps and through the water flow. If you like to spend time with nature and a natural pool inside river, this is a great place. Easy to dive in between and able to swim easily. One should be careful because broken rocks may be painful. The parking area is excellent. But the road to the place is not so good. But going towards Athirappally, it is a nice place for a family visit.

Beautiful location to visit with your loved ones. The view is great. The problem is that you can't use the toilets. Toilets doesn't seems to be maintained properly. In one section the doors even have holes in them.

Beautiful place to visit. Lot of shade places are there. The hanging bridge there is a great thing. People can spend at least half a day there. If the water is flowing above the check dam, it would be wonderful. Athirappilli is also not far away around 14-20km only. Road condition is a bit bad, smooth riding not possible.

A nature getaway, that sets one's heart at ease. A must in almost all family short trips. Get ready to get wet! Plenty of water everywhere, you would be tempted to take a dip.

A serene location . Take time for picnic with family.. You cross bridge and land other side, you will have to take another ticket (not worth for that).

This place is on the way to athirapally waterfalls from chalakudy. It is also called as Thumboormuzhi dam or butterfly garden. The hanging bridge inside this places is very beautiful to see when there is more water flows in chalakudy river. Try going early in the morning to see the beauty of the river. Good place. ☺️👍

Best place to be with family and friends, a place with natural beauty, blend of nature and engineering. Hanging bridge is nice , one can spend few hours in river in summer times , but one need to be careful before getting into river as some place are very slippery and very deep. In rainy session it’s very dangerous to get into water. They only charge ₹10 per person for entry and ₹20 for parking car.
