The Beach was Okay!! Like one time visit, May be!! The view is very good but it is not that much clean. The road parallel to the Beach is very beautiful, like really driving on that road is really a very good experience. I enjoyed driving on that road instead of visiting the Beach. I am sharing some images below to give a glimpse of how the Beach looks like!!

A good beach to relax and spend time. There is a walkway parallel to the beach. Paid parking is also available. There are a lot of eateries surrounding the beach. Great place to visit in the evenings. The road towards the beach is really beautiful and pleasant for driving.

Vaikom Beach is a verygood place for family visit. At the evening time, freeze air flows from the large lake and service boats are going here and there. Seating arranged for sitting comfortably and take rest. Very good sceneries gives a happy mood in our mind. Some interesting sculpture established by the side of the walkway to attract children. Plenty of place for take a waking or jogging. Tourist boating also arranged by KTDC. By means of Boat Jetty, we can travel easily to the other side of the lake in low expense. Very good hotel also there. Very good place.

With a lot of ground lost to sea, Cherai is a shadow of what it used to be. However, there's well maintained pathway for a stroll with raised walls for preventing sea incursion.

Busy and crowded beach. Good for taking stralls in the afternoon. Car parking is available infront of the walkway which is chargeable. A lot of eateries and cafes are situated besides the stone walkway.

Really nice view, specially in the evening, One suggestion : if ur hotel is just next to beach road, then it is better to leave your footware at your room and be their 2 hour before sunset, only then u will be able to fully enjoy ur sunset at beach

Cherai beach is very good to come after night 9pm . If you are with family, then you can visit by evening . There is a foot path where you can walk . The beach sand bank is very small and the beach water level is high . #cherai #beach

Nice beach but steep sand bed. Rescue team is always around and better speak to them first before getting into the water. Very calm, not at all crowded and fresh water available for bath at ₹20/person.

This place doesn't yield as much as one may expect . It's famous all over Kerala but pretty pathetic for its namesake. There is little beach and I mean that. It's just the sea right in front of you and I didn't see a beach there. Locals told us that after the tsunami many years ago the beach shrunk after that. I guess that's why the beach lost its beauty. However it was crowded. You can find many restaurants nearby with great ambiance and even better seafood. But no activities in this area for kids. Not recommended. Instead you might want to visit nearby lesser known beaches which are way better.

Very good experience..Sea is always soothing for everyone. You can expect some crowd since this beach is pretty famous among people. Decent crowd even on weekdays. There are lots of restaurants and cafes near to the beach. Small small shops that sell bajji as well. Good parking space available (should pay). There's only a very small space where you could touch the water. If you go a little further, you could find beaches undiscovered where there's no crowd, but can't get inside the water as there could be breakwaters.

Cherai beach is the one of the happiness place in ernakulam Kerala... Must visit for sun set and sun rise...

An awesome place. A must visiting place if you're in Kochi. Had a lot of enjoyment. We need to be carefull as the beach has rocks which can hurt.

One of the best beaches in Kerala. Clean area and not much crowded. The beach area with high mask light where we park the cars is not good for entering into water because the sea engulfed the area and no sand area . water level is upto the seawall with rocks. If sea bath and swimming needed, we need to walk around 200 metres towards kochi where plenty of sand space and able to walk seaside and move into water.
