Lake Front is a little oasis set back from the main beach front of Cherai. The rooms are cool and clean, and the family who run it are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They even organised an excellent yoga teacher to give us a class, and cooked delicious food.

Fabulous Homestay, great attention to detail. Lovely garden with lake view. Just across the road from Cherai beach. Great breakfast, nice spacious clean rooms. Nothing is too much trouble fantastic hosts.

Stayed here recently. We booked 2 rooms - one big suite and one cottage. First impressions: LOCATION: We were appalled by the location of the homestay. It is not situated on the main beach facing road and we have to go in some cut roads to reach. Those traveling by car, better avoid this place as the approach is very narrow and has dodgy roads. The parking is very small and there will be quite a few instances where someone blocks movement. ROOMS: The suite room was big and comfortable. They used all the space for the bedroom and left the bathroom tiny. There was no geyser available. They said they had a solar heater, but, we got no hot water. The cottage room was tiny and only recommended for 2 people. Same bathroom problem. FOOD & SERVICE: We had a complimentary breakfast here, VERY basic food - idly, sambhar, chutney, banana and tea. They don't have the manpower to cook more than that. If you can book without breakfast, go for it as there are plenty restaurants nearby. POOL: It was more of a large 'tub', rather than a pool. I figure about 13 * 7 ft and 5 ft deep. The water was heavily chlorinated and those with sensitive skin, beware. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I would say average. Saw many positive reviews, so I booked. It was not a pleasant experience. The price is not exactly cheap and there are lot's of better options a bit further. Book beach facing resorts or homestays if you can.

We had a pleasant stay in this beautiful property. Shari and Sarath are excellent hosts and took care of our ever needs. It is a lake side property and beach is at a 100 meters walkable distance.

Cozy little place to spend a quiet weekend. Nice rooms and ambiance. Very close to the lake and walkable distance to the beach. The breakfast provided was homely and tasty. Parking can be an issue as the approach road is narrow and they don't have a dedicated parking space. The pool is a makeshift one and very small and more suited for kids.

Very comfortable and homely. The owner Shari and her husband Sharath went out of their way to make us happy and contented. The bathrooms were clean, the AC worked well and the linen was spotless. The ambience in the banks of the backwaters and so close to the Arabian Sea, was truly fantastic. The staff were cordial and affectionate. We will recommend this place to all tourists who visit Cherai

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location by the lake was breathtaking, and the accommodations were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, from relaxing by the water to exploring the beautiful surroundings,The pool and the overall amenities were top-notch.We were also pleasantly surprised by the delicious food on offer.Our time here was truly unforgettable!

Initially we were unsure about how the homestay would be like, reviews aside. But the moment we reached there, the place kind of absorbed us in. Clean rooms and surroundings. The view of the river from the homestay is just awesome. Yes there are mosquitoes and carrying repellent is advised. Beach is at a walking distance. Breakfast is inclusive which is served hot and tastes superb. Tea and coffee is served as per request. Pool is well maintained. Arrangements for lunch/dinner have to be made on own but, the hostess, Shari is more than happy to help in suggesting good options. Boating available which is not included in the package. Staff is very polite and helpful. Shari and Sharath both are very good hosts. Hope that in future lunch/dinner will be available there! All the best!

I stayed nearly two weeks in this magical peaceful place surrounded by a beautiful garden and back water. Shari, the best host I have ever met, is very welcoming, helpful making sure you have everything you need. Her family and the people who work there are adorable. The food is delicious. Shari is extremely nice and always takes care of any requests with a big smile. My staying at the cottage will be a memorable one. I really enjoyed the backyard and the pool. Literally two minutes of walk to the Beach and the restaurants.

Best property facing the back waters at cherai. Thanks to the people there who treated us like their own family. The property is at 100 meters walk from the beach . Peaceful and serene location. They served us tasty food. We were overwhelmingly joyful till the tart minute we stayed there. The rooms are clean. We used the swimming pool too. Our cars were parked safely. Thank you once again.

We have stayed at Lakefront beach homes not once but twice and both times we had an amazing stay there. The host Shari and her husband are very sweet and helpful. They make sure you feel comfortable and do not hesitate to help even for the smallest things. The rooms were very simple clean and neat. Even if you face any issues during your stay they will sort it out immediately. The pool is very clean and the best part of the resort. They have a parking spot in front of the house that can accommodate around 3-4 cars. The way to the house is a bit narrow but shouldn't be a problem for hatchbacks and sedans. They have ample open space including a small house tree facing the lake. Breakfast was simple and yummy. Beach is just 2 minutes walk (not the main cherai beach). Overall this is a wonderful place to get away for solo travelers or family. 10/10.

We stayed here for a weekend and it was such a nice experience! The hosts made us feel so welcome throughout the day and helped us plan activities like boating and suggested good restaurants around the place, their daughter, Minnu even taught us how to fish with a fishing rod which was so much fun! We weren't as good as her but we really enjoyed it. The place is waterfront and has a cute garden area as well. Over-all, we had a very good time with them and would definitely recommend it.

The place has a nice peaceful ambience and it's beautiful too.. the view around the lake is so nice and the tree house the rooms and the way they have maintained it neat and tidy is one of the main thing which attracted me. It's a great getaway destination. The hosts are so nice and sweet and they can help you in every way they can .

My family and I stayed here and had an excellent time. When it comes to hosting, the host goes above and above. You can walk to the beach in about 5 minutes from this location, so you'll get the best of both worlds if you choose this place. The rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was top-notch. With the lake view comes the tree house, lovely garden, and boat deck where you may relax in peace. I'd highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent hosts and location. Had a wonderful experience at the property, which was also quite close to Cherai beach. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty, local food and made with the guests in mind, mild and perfect. Will come here again.

Beautiful rooms in beautiful setting. Garden overlooks the lake with an amazing view of the sunrise. Rooms are very clean, have hot water and AC. Breakfast was different every day but always tasty and plentiful. Shari was an amazing host and Sindhu is a fantastic cook. It's very quiet and peaceful here and close to the beach too.
