Had one of the worst experience we had during our stay in Break water palace resort, Cheri. when we booked the rooms through phone the staffs were so kind and friendly but after we checked in to the hotel their behaviour completely changes. They were worst and rude. The room was very basic and charge you high, and also the staffs were unhelpful, and they seemed to take pleasure in making my stay as uncomfortable as possible. No towels were provided to us ,if we ask they say all towels are wet. They will try to sell the garden view rooms first, they will hold the sea facing rooms for the last minute check in customers and they allow the bachelors to have the drink in the swimming pool and they broke the glass in the pool, we couldn’t use the pool after that and our kids were very much disappointed, when we raise concerns they always pull u for fight with harsh words and they don’t listen to us. When we thought to complain to owner of the property then only we came to know they are the owners/caretakers. So I would not recommend this hotel for stay if you want to have a pleasant trip. This property is sea facing but you cannot get a proper sea view and no access to sea.

One of the best place to escape from our routine work life. The best part is the sea view rooms. Another attraction is pool and nearby sea. It is a new property built on small area and the ambience was amazing. Negative: Price is little higher considering there is nothing to do other than pool. No play area to engage Speakers/Music restricted in the midnight Though I will recommend for "peace and refreshing stay"

Friendly staff and owners. We stayed upstairs. Nice view, clean room ( except for dirty windows and mirror ). Comfortable bed. Quiet location but about 2km to local restaurants. A little expensive (Rs 7000) for what is offered.

Complete disappointment with this resort and their services. The place is run by a husband and wife and their motive to charge expensive isn’t right for the amount of services that’s not even up to a resort. There is no proper check in. In fact we never checked into this place even though we stayed for 1 day. They don’t have a proper menu. Let alone there was no water bottles, tissue roll etc kept in the room when we arrived. Breakfast was bland and they charged 340 rs for an average chicken gravy. The place doesn’t even categorise as a resort, very little space, no proper parking and they charge a hell lot for photoshoot which doesn’t make sense. They don’t have a proper check in check out time. We had a late night flight and it was informed prior to 2 weeks while booking but still the lady argued for the same. Do not do direct booking as they tell it’s a less price while booking directly and not through third party websites but honestly very less when booked through travel websites. In the name of greediness, these people are looting money just for their services (which is a minus) and not mentioned anywhere. They don’t have a menu card, they don’t have a receipt. Our bill was given to us in a blank white paper. Total waste of money. Greedy motive. Absolute disaster.

We have never experienced such a poor hospitality considering the price. The stars I have given is for the pool and cleanliness alone. Not much here is worth the sky high prices. Firstly, the air conditioner is centralised and the control was with the owner. We checked in about 12 in the noon and we did not get the remote control (for the A/C) until we were ready to sleep. Fortunately, the fan was in working condition. However, the next day morning fan also stopped working. When asked why, the owner said that there was a power cut. The breakfast was alright, although there was no much options. We got two dishes for lunch and one dish for breakfast. We asked for an omelet which is pretty common in all of the resorts here in Cochin. The owner said no eggs in stock. The rates are too high for the services they provide. Overall, expensive and not quite worth the money. The pool and dining area with the sea view is ok, especially for the kids. Probably if the prices were a little low, would consider visiting again.

The property was aesthetic. Sea view rooms and pool were awesome. The food was also decent. The route has no proper road and it was bumpy too. The customer service was okay. A good place for a group booking. Bit pricey.

Even though the place looks good it's a very small resort in terms of area. It's a beach resort but we don't have access to the beach, needs to walk some distance to enjoy the beach. Only activity that can be done there is the swimming pool. There aren't any other things to explore like a game room or other play areas. Rooms were good but they don't provide water, glasses or even bath towels initially which I don't expect. If asked they will provide water and glasses but they will charge for it as well which I haven't experienced in any other resorts. Rooms were good and spacious, also the location was good too !!

It was an amazing experience here at this property and me and my family enjoyed a lot. I could say that each and every staff were so friendly, welcoming and supportive. Their attitude made us to visit the property again and again and we have a plan for that too soon. I was reading their reviews but happened to see many of the bad reviews and I have no idea why people written like that for a beautiful property with well manners. I prefer everyone to visit this property and enjoy the experience. Thank you 😍

Breakwater Palace Resort, with its beachfront allure, stands out for its friendly staff and immaculate surroundings. The calming sounds of the sea echo throughout, enhancing the serene atmosphere. Families will love the safe swimming pool, and the rooms, resembling a home away from home, make this resort a preferred destination for holidaymakers.

The place looks really nice and it surely well maintained. However the resort is located in the interior part of cherai. Rhe view from this place is really nice and place on the whole looks absolutely beautiful. Rhe lady at the desk was polite and the caretaker guy is really sweet and hospitable. However I did not like the fact that they were giving us so much instructions as to don't eat near the pool and other random things that was really irritating. Also the bedsheets and pillow cases had stains on them. But I really liked the pool and view from there. I really wish they weren't nagging me about this and that every second.. also there are no restaurants or shops near by . So if you don't have a vehicle mobility is going to be a real challenge

Stayed for 2 days, Rooms were clean and cozy, no toiletries. A/C in the room was average. Service is just ok but friendly. Service was not so professional and short staffed. Breakfast was good (not much of options) but took a long time to be served. We went on a long weekend (holiday time) and may be that's why it was a bit overpriced(5.7k) .

Vidya was an amazing host. All the staff were very friendly. The sea facing suite room has a great view of the ocean and lots of privacy. Cherai beach is a 5 minutes walk from this resort. I would stay here again and recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Very Pathetic. Even though we had booking confirmation and full payment done in advance, these cheaters has given the rooms for others at higher price. When we reached the resort, we don't have rooms. They are very much irresponsible and doesn't care for customers. Don't even go to this resort for heaven sake. The resort is not worth for money that you are going to pay and mainly owners are very pathetic.

  • 2/5 BASIL K. 1 year ago on Google
Not worth for that money. Sufficient Toiletries are not there. Not much food option is available. Breakfast is not buffets. You will only get 1-2 items that they prefer to choose for that day. Hospitality is not good. You can't order food from outside and eat also for that you need to give extra 100 per plate . Kind of wierd policy. Over all not upto the expectations. 5/10.

Guys don't even go to this resort because they are such a greedy place. My family and I booked this resort 2 weeks before arrival but on that day some guy arrived and payed more money than us and got the room. And the woman working there did not give us a proper response and was showing attitude.

This place should come under the category of homestay instead of Resorts. Firstly the good part : This place has very well done rooms, clean and well maintained. Its centrally air-conditioned. It has a small swimming pool that can be used both for adults and kids. It is a sea facing and not beach facing property to sit or relax on. Now with heavy heart lots of negatives . I am giving such reviews so that property owners shape up things. They donot have an in house restaurant/ kitchen so either you have to order out or tell them to get it made. They will get it done for you but as far as we are concerned the prices are equivalent to a 3 to 5 star hotels. Now comes pool as per management they have installed a self cleaning pool but as per my knowledge if it was a self cleaning pool then water will itself show... which was a let down for us. We did enjoy but at our own risk. No hand towels and bathroom essentials provided. We carried so no comments on that. Our biggest let down was breakfast with very limited option that too we had to take it with a pinch of salt as the lady there did help us. Tea and coffee are supposed to be a part of breakfast but they charge you for that. Improper management clearly shows their flaws. Tea/ coffee is Rs 30 Milk is Rs. 50 Just a glimpse rest all is way expensive. Be clear no menu card is available. We feel breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should be really taken seriously by management. Staff there donot have homestay/ hotel management experience but they are learning on our cost... ok if they shape up nicely. Not everyone is an hospitality graduates in homestay/ hotel. If you are travelling with small kids i wish to inform you no KIDS PLAY AREA except pool. Overall we have given a rating based on our experience. its ok for a night stay should not expect more. There is a place name but they take money on personal name so it should be seen as homestay only. Only cash or G Pay available. We did ask about this weeks bad reviews on Google she tried to explain but we feel it could have been well handled instead blaming agoda. Its a nice place if negatives are properly addressed. DONOT EXPECT MUCH, GREAT CLEAN ROOMS AND BATHROOM SOME NICE VIEW OF OCEAN AND POOL. They will charge us between 6k to 7k depending.. for that price we feel a great 3 star property with well laid breakfast and greater experience we can get in an 3 star plus property. We request management to shape up.

The resort was a very tiny space for the money paid. The price is very overpriced .The pool was so small . It was not even cleaned by the time we arrived. The parking lot was also small that only three cars were able to fit in.

We usually write reviews only after we stay in a hotel and experience their services. But really disappointed to post this review as I was denied my confirmed booking by the hotel management after reaching the destination travelling miles with family. The response from the hotel management was very bad and irresponsible. The resort is also not worth the money you are paying. Don't ever choose to stay here.

  • 1/5 Nestor A. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel charged us the premium price of a fully functional Resort. It is run by 1 person with the owner turning into a cook for breakfast. The rooms are very small and extremely basic with 0 privacy as they open out into this pool that's the size of 2 sump tanks. The breakfast is the worst by far with just one or two items available for breakfast made by the owner. It's an understaffed and unreasonably expensive place. Absolutely not worth the price. Don't ever consider booking this place.

Very expensive stay compared to the service provided. Room facilities need to be improved- dental kit, extra towels, free-coffee/tea facility should be provided. Sea facing rooms are only actually rock facing rooms. The nearest beach is munanbam beach. Cherai is little more further away. Pool is ok, though we didn’t get any pool towels. Expensive home stay altogether.

  • 5/5 Bobby S. 1 year ago on Google
The resort and the stay was awesome, but there are a lot of hidden charges so enquire accordingly about the price of things before confirming, there are restrictions to enter the pool after 7pm and otherwise the place is good and there is privacy we dont have access to beach at resort as its walled off and the waves are very strong. Good for family functions also there are about 5-6 rooms and a single room on the first floor.

Disappointing Experience at Breakwater Palace Resort, Cherai Beach I recently had the opportunity to organize a farewell party for my friends at Breakwater Palace Resort in Cherai Beach. Unfortunately, my experience with the resort was far from satisfactory. I would like to share my honest review of the resort, outlining both the positive and negative aspects. First and foremost, we had rented out the entire resort to ensure privacy and exclusivity for our event. However, the owner's lack of cooperation greatly dampened our enthusiasm. Despite initially assuring us that there were no restrictions, we were surprised to learn on the day of the event that certain limitations were suddenly imposed. These included not being able to use the pool after 8:30 pm and having to reduce the sound after 9 pm. Such unexpected restrictions significantly hindered our enjoyment and disrupted our plans. Moreover, one of the major disappointments was the resort's location. While Cherai Beach is known for its stunning shoreline, Breakwater Palace Resort was unfortunately situated in a place that deprived us of easy access to the beach. This was highly frustrating, as we were looking forward to enjoying the picturesque beach and engaging in water activities. The resort's misleading location description was quite misleading and ultimately impacted our overall experience. On a more positive note, I must mention that the overall ambiance and aesthetics of the resort were commendable. The property was visually appealing, with well-maintained gardens and pleasant outdoor areas. The rooms were adequately furnished and comfortable, providing a decent level of comfort for our stay. However, despite these positive aspects, the lack of cooperation from the owner and the inconvenient location overshadowed our experience at Breakwater Palace Resort. The sudden imposition of restrictions on the day of our event and the inability to access the beach greatly diminished the joy and excitement we had anticipated. In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Breakwater Palace Resort in Cherai Beach based on my experience. The lack of transparency regarding restrictions and the inconvenient location were major drawbacks that significantly impacted our farewell party. It is my hope that the resort management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving the overall guest experience in the future. Please note that this review is based on my personal experience, and others may have had different experiences at Breakwater Palace Resort.

Poor service Poor condition Not recommended at all if you are going on a vacation. It's a home stay, charges for a resort. No staff available Even you have to run around for a glass of water. Food as per the wishes of the owner No quality of preparation. Basic table items are not there. Owner, cook, receptionist, room attendant.... all done by one person. Crowd... all local people who come for time pass

Nice and costly!! Decor is great. Clean and tidy. Big rooms, opening right onto the sea break water. The sound from the waves crashing on the break water is music to the ears. Service is minimal but prompt. Only one mineral water bottle was given although 3 guests, the rest were charged. Dinner prices were a bit high but good food. Breakfast was very basic but ok. Overall ok

It was an exceptional experience for me at this resort! Fantastic room service and well-mannered staff and management as well. The structure of this property facing the seaside provides us with the level of peace we want. A couple of entertainment programs were arranged and all of them were stunning. As a whole, I loved this destination.

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. They provided us such a beautiful room with very nice decor,. The place is very clean and super close to sea.. The view & ambience is breathtaking. Also the owner is very supportive. She is very compassionate & can accommodate custom requests too. However the caretaker was kind enough to share his mobile number for communication but yes a phone would be great. I am very happy with my stay and will love to visit again. Thank you!😍
