Best place to visit when you are in Kohima. Museum is beautifully placed as Nagaland culture is describe in wooden models and cultural stuffs as well as the way all the stuff is design with minor detailing is commendable. Do prioritize your visit to this museum. Timing 10am - 4pm.

Fascinating anthropological collection of costume, jewellery and daily life. Interesting examples of tribal sports played at festivals. There are two empty floors- not sure if these still have to be curated.

Situated in kohima. Very nice place to visit, they displays all the real things nagas used earlier. Pictures from the past also showcasing naga participation in republic day parade. Not a very big museum you will not find many tourists here. But it is definitely a good place if one is interested in naga culture. Some books are also for sale here. Entry is rupees 10 per person and rs 50 is charged for photography.

The state contribute largely to the culture and customs of the place. The museum houses and preserves precious artefacts including sculptures, jewelries, traditional dresses, inscriptions, musical instruments and much more. The art gallery here exhibits paintings from local artists. These artefacts will allow you to understand the evolution of the tribes and their culture.

This is an absolute amazing museum showing all of the culture and artefacts of the various Naga tribes - well worth a visit and not to be missed There are many tribes that inhabit in Nagaland. The Kohima Museum was primarily established to present the world about the diverse lifestyle, habitat and culture of the tribal people. The museum preserves various things belonging to tribal community like the colorful traditional clothes, clan motifs, precious stones (carnelian, tourmaline and coral) and so on. The hut models and musical instruments made from buffalo horns and bamboo are also showcased here. All in all, the museum takes the visitors to an unforgettable tribal journey that would be cherished forever.
