The experience was great. The best time to trek is during dry season . Monsoon season also do add a different experience especially when you are at the summit.

At an altitude of 2500 mtrs, the view is breathtaking. The trek is 1.2 km long(mix of steps and paths). From Kohima Science College the drive is around 6 km, after that we started the trek. Do note that google maps will lead to an incorrect spot. Reach Kohima Science College and ask for directions.

Pulie Badze is located at a few kilometers away from Kohima near Jotsoma Village. The panorama view of Kohima city is visible from the top of the hill. If you visit Kohima must visit this place. It's worth coming here . You will have to book private taxi or own car to go . In hornbill festive it open all days else it is open from Mon-Sat 9-4 PM , for late returning their is fine , which they usually don't charge. So better plan . It very cold in December so come with warm cloth.

It's a fun trek, it's nothing serious, the routes are well paved too. If you're up for a smol trek, (within a few hrs), this is a good spot, there's open space, vines to swing from, a shed at the top, and the view there is amazing, yu can see most of kohima.

Trek was amazing! Was tiring but worth the climb. Worth the sweat. Just to encounter all of those breath-taking views and to flatten by the mesmerizing story of Pulie. Definitely loved it. Our God's masterpiece Nagaland is beautiful indeed. 🙌

Place is worth visiting, the view is good. The path, at least during winter, is stable since there's no moss. Only qualm I have is with the small tower/artificial elevation. It's short so the foliage covers the view, other than that if you like the sound of birds chirping and clean air after traveling through the dusty road, do visit.

A beautiful escape to the nature with a wonderful view from the summit. Trekking till the top is highly recommended if you want to enjoy the view and the sound of the nature as you walk by through the woods. Soothing place to spend the day.

We hiked from the entrance gate which is nearby sazolie college, it took us 1 hour and a half to reach the rest house and from there it took nearly half an hour to reach mountain peak. If your going to hike do remember to carry enough water bottle and kindly do not llitter this place..

Wow. This trek was superb. The view from the top was really great. You need to go by car approx 5km on rough road which actually not a road but rocky path then you need 1.2 km trek from basepoint. The restaurant at basepoint was also great. The fried rice served by them was very tasty. If you are going to Kohima then must visit this place. Try to book taxi for whole day and visit this place in last to enjoy the most.

Puliebadze pronounced 'Pulie' the son from Jotsoma (Zotshüma) Village had this place as one rest point 'badze' out of the many he ventured to keep even much before his manhood years. Being such a place, Jotsoma villagers retained maintain this purpose holding route culminating to its highest point the cross to remind ourselves and tell visitors his mystical stories still spoken inside our rusty night kitchens. So, Puliebadze is the pinnacle of the rising mount that locates Kohima Science College, Kohima Doordarshan Kendra, Public Health Engineering Water Supply Reservoir just to name some. Yes its a perfect place for walk trekking connecting the majestic Japfü mount to the CTP Climbers Twin Paradise, as I'd like to call them, namely Southern Dzükou & Western Dzükou... Things out here get better during December but they're all set to welcome you if you like getting here earlier. Don't they depend on your time and your choice... Happy connecting year 2020✌️🙏

It was a wonderful hike. Very pleasant but visitors are throwing garbage, especially plastics, everywhere. Authorities should take some measures to tackle this problem.

Amazing trek. And you come across friendly trekkers enroute. Don't go on a Sunday, the barrier is closed. Preferably go on Saturday or another Holiday. View of complete Kohima from top is breathtaking. Look out for leeches in rainy season

For tracking it is a good place. The summit is filled with rhododendron plants. The air is pure n fresh, the views of birds sipping nectar from the flowers n those clear skies are all refreshing. The best time to visit or plan a tracking trip is not that of monsoon season.

An underrated location in Kohima worth visiting for those who love the outdoors. The steps leading up to the summit of Mt Puliebadze reminds one of the forests of Europe or Japan. Such a surreal experience. Best time to visit is during the winter season because of the leeches and unexpected rains.

Trekking distance is not so long making it age friendly for very young and old people to enjoy scenic beauty of Kohima by not consuming so much of their energy. P.S. : Kindly avoid littering the place.

An excellent short trek that is neither too challenging nor risky. Yes city slickers like us were out of breath in the first few minutes - but if you “hold on, press on” as the sign at the halfway mark encourages you to - it is doable and well worth it! It took us 40 mins to get from the “base camp” to the top. Depending on your level of cardio fitness it could take half or double the time. Great views and photo ops at the peak. And we were back at the base camp within an hour and a quarter. There are steps for most of the way. It is beautifully serene. And I loved the sayings on the placards along the way up. We did the short trek which is from the base camp to the summit. The more adventurous can start from Jotsoma village and trek the 6 km road to the base camp. This 6 km road is motorable we drove up. But the first 3 kms is bad and the next 3 kms is worse! Our local guides were wise to say that it is better this way as it then needs some motivation to make the trek. Or else it will be swamped with tourists 😺

For hiking starters. Its a must visit place. The most exciting thing is climbing the mountain. Not like climbing Himalaya but will definitely test your will power

Located few KMS from kohima town (mayb an hour journey), it's a good place if you are looking for a drive out with friends or family. Also if you are interested in hiking ,this place is just the right one , one of the well preserved forest around Kohima ,you get to walk in the midst of trees. At the top of the peak you get to see a beautiful landscape of entire Kohima.
