It's a lovely place to visit. Especially, very important for students and researchers interested in Bio Diversity, Conservation etc.

A memorial to G.H Damant( then political officer of the Naga Hills). Shot dead at khonoma in 1879. The place is currently under the Archaeological Survey of India. A must visit. Also, the location of the monument provides one of the best viewpoint in khonoma.

This small site in a hilltop village offers a fascinating glimpse of history, helpful in building understanding of the impact (negative or positive) of the British presence in this remote part of India through events relating to the life and death of a significant administrator.

Khonoma is already clean and green. The tomb is at the topmost part of the village to comemorate the angami fighters who restricted the British invasion. The view from the top is breathtaking. Both the sunset and sunrise can be visible from the top.

Truly an amazing experience. Must be on your bucket list.

Kohima War Cemetery. Consists of graves of more than 600 valiant soldiers who laid their lives during World War 2 in Kohima.

Historically significant place for the Nagas.

Make sure your bladder is empty before you visit this place because the public toilets are in terrible condition and relieving yourself out in the open is a criminal offence. Given the historic importance and the fact that it's a world heritage site, the place is badly maintained with cattles moving freely all of the place dropping dung everywhere.

It's one most wonderful places of Kohima. Everyone who comes to Kohima must visit here in Khonoma "the first green village in Asia." If you come here in the month of December or January, you can see mesmerizing snow fall. People are homely here. This small village has post office, PHC, School and a hotel for tourists etc.

A short hike to the monument. Path is nicely made with footsteps. The views along the way and from the top are breathtaking.
