Great place to camp! The only camp that's open through the year - the others just pop up for Hornbill festival and disappear. The folks who run the place are very courteous and very helpful! Prices are very affordable and there are clean washrooms available at the campsite. Highly recommended!

Chalohoppo and Camp Site Yedikha made our stay in Jakhama an awesome experience. you have to manage your expectations when going to a place like this, however if you use to staying at campsites this is definitely among the better that I have seen. The team at Yedikha a very warm and the food served was excellent.

I was told this is the best campsite around. I definitely found great company and full marks to the efforts put in by the chalohoppo staff for getting the party started every evening. But I have a few grievances which might influence my choice next year for sure. I felt things were a bit overpriced and upon questioning them, I didn't get a better answer than "sorry for disappointing you." The breakdown of the charges, wasn't clear and ultimately I did pay whatever I was asked for but the service definitely wasn't worth the money. This is mostly pertaining to chalohoppo undertaking the responsibility of organizing the dzukou valley trek and stay from their side. Since it is a travel and an adventure company, I am hugely disappointed at how mismanaged it was.

I m writing this review after 2 years. By now lots might have changed( in better way only).Surrounded by fields from all sides, Campsite Yedikha provides you a peaceful stay in the serene environment of Jakhama. The host was very friendly and took care of all our needs. You can opt for a stay in a tent.Words seems less to express how I feel about the place. Ever since my return from there, i have kept a pic taken near Campsite Yedikha as my DP. This was taken over the beautiful bridge near the campsite Yedikha... There was a beautiful stream and a forest ,just across the field. If u r a wanderlust, try visiting the place.

Personally I'd say the location isn't the very best for a campsite (I'd prefer it to be further away from civilization, but that's just my personal opinion). Leaving that aside, it's clean, looks fancy, people/workers are kind- quite nice. Surrounded by fields and a river below, makes everything so relaxing. The tents and the decors are well done too. So if you happen to be somewhere in jakhama maybe bout to experience some trekking or just here for a visit, Campsite Yedikha is a nice place. It's a safe outdoors type of thing. Do check it out. :D

Stayed here for a week. The family-run campsite is no less than a soulful experience! First, the location is absolutely amazing. A campsite amongst the mountains, cool wind, cozy, warm and super comfortable tents with ample space, ever-burning bonfire.. The bonfire provides the perfect opportunity to interact/bond with the fellow travellers staying there. You can also play music on the speakers! So much I got to learn from the interactions, I could never have learnt online! What else would one want? Second and the most important part, the family is so welcoming!!!! I was never treated as a guest/customer. As soon as you enter the place, you are a part of the family! Such heartwarming hospitality, amazingly helpful people! I'm in love with the place and there's absolutely no way I'm not staying here on my next visit! Third, clean toilets (western and Indian). Availability of hot water too! Fourth, the food too is delicious! Even as a vegetarian I didn't find much difficulty with the food honestly. I cannot thank them enough for all that they've done for me! P.S - I also got to know sooooooooo much about the history of the place! Things I got to know, which the internet and biased media won't tell. The history our history books won't tell! You HAVE to visit the place to learn their side of the truth! Before visiting the place I was a bit sceptical, but all my doubts were cleared once I talked to the local people and learnt how warm and friendly they are!! Too many thoughts running through my head right now, too less words! To sum it all up, all I can say is.. Nagaland and Nagas have my heart!

Best place to camp in and around Jakhama, in Kohima. Host is really nice, polite and down to earth. Morning and evening scenery is breathtaking in 360 degrees. Camp site is just facing to the views, toilets are cleaned maintained well.

Amazing hospitality..very nice family who run this campsite, very clean and punctual. Well maintained place. Definitely recommend it to people who respect and like to be rooted.. Also good yummy food. Had booked for 3nights but extended it to 2 more nights. During my stay, Jacob who was volunteering to manage the guests for the family was the one I would also like to thank ..special thanks to ado viko kiko and Mr George and his sister. Thank u very much...

What decides the quality of stay is the comfort as well as people. This place tops in both of these. It's far from city hassle, you can walk and explore jakhama village. Good place if you want to make arrangements for the dzoku trek. The family prepares delicious food and cater to all the arrangements. During my stay, the Hornbill festival got cancelled. But George was so considerate and generous to accommodate all the changes in our plans. It has been the first time some host has apologized and taken all responsibility for the cancellation which was beyond his control.

Had a wonderful time with the Challo Hoppo folks during the Hornbill Festival. Did the dzukou valley trek from here. Comfy stay and amenities, pretty location, new friends and a warm bonfire, what more can one ask for?

Great location above the paddy fields. Convenient for exploring jakhama village and the hornbill festival in kisama (~4kms). Also a good base for the dzukou valley trek. The tents are clean and well insulated from the cold. Three A-frame cabins are also available. Bathrooms are decent. Best part is the warmth of the hosts and the delicious food.

Located just few kms from the hornbill festival site it's a very peaceful and beautiful getaway. It's also primary base camp for the dzukou valley trek. Facility: Clean campsite Clean sleeping bags and pillows tents are very comfortable Common toilet and bathrooms are very well maintained Meals are very tasty authentic Naga cooking Came here for 3 days ended up staying for 6 and then came back and stayed another 2. The hosts are very courteous and amazing people by nature. They are so hospitable and helpful they go beyond their way to help you. Having been travelling on a motorcycle I had 2 major repairs which they helped me sort out during their busy schedule without which I couldn't have continued my trip. Got to learn so many interesting facts and history of Nagaland during the wonderful evening by the fire talks. The view from the campsite is so soothing and relaxing it will put shrinks out of business. 🙃 For pro campers this place will feel like a luxury resort.

Lovely camp site. located below the village area in between the paddy fields. Perfect for those who wants to experience a short break from daily routines. It's only an hour Drive from main town kohima with whole year accessible road. You need to book in advance for fooding. The price is around ₹600 indian rupee for a night per head. The surrounding area will mesmerize you for sure. Head out and enjoy

Located close to the beautiful paddy fields of Jakhama village making the voew from the campsite peaceful and soothing. One can also have a walk through fields using the narrow lanes. There's a church nearby. The hosts are wonderful. Vikho, Ato, aunty all are very welcoming and friendly. And the Naga style food is just awesome.
