Visited this place today around 12 noon.I found the main gate locked .On enquiry it was told that one need a written permission from Asstt forest officer for entertaining the garden without which entery to park is not possible. So beware.

Botanical Garden maintained by Forest Dept., Govt of Nagaland. Open on all days except Sundays. Large area but developed area is limited with some herbal gardens, different varieties of roses, indigenous trees, etc and a view point of Kohima town. Cool shaded area with a small ground and children's park. Parking space available inside. Ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the town, however, maintenance is not up to the mark. No restaurants nearby so better take refreshments from the town.

The only reason I'm rating it a three star is because of the fond memories I have at this place, I hardly witnessed any change in maintenance of the botanical garden after 2010, this place used to be frequently visited by youths and the place offered a great view of the Kohima town and the tree house used to be our favourite during our childhood, the last time I visited the place it was pathetic, one can only pity upon the condition, considering this place was home to many indigenous flora but over the years the authorities have not maintained it well, the place is only degrading with time.

It has varieties of collection. If you are a nature lover and like plants than its a must visit place. Due to rain it's mostly muddy so walking shoes or rubber boots is advisable

Great place for nature lovers. A vast variety of herbs and flowers can be seen. The garden garden won't blow your mind or anything but its see a great place. You can learn about the different kinds of flora and herb, and some rare ones that can only be found in Kohima. And lastly a great for taking some great photos.

Not so big a garden as such but quite walkable area of about 5-6 acres below the foothill of Pulibadze bio reserve. Cool place to spent an hour or two for those who like to have nature trail of the local batanicals.

Gate is always closed! It is never opened. From what I learned upon enquiry it seems they open it only sometimes. Been there twice. On both ocassions the gate was closed.

There's nothing inside, a tiny dry pool without water for 15years now, and some tree houses here and there with nothing apart from that. Besides that, the gate is always closed. It's just a name and simply nothing.
