Kisama Heritage Village is the site where Hornbill festival is celebrated every year. This place opens a huge avenue for tourists visiting Nagaland to experience the rich and diverse culture of this place. The Hornbill festival is celebrated from 1st December to 10th December every year. This is an opportunity to be seized. One gets to experience every bit of the Naga culture which differs from tribe to tribe. Be it their food, music, dance, occupation, rice beer ask for anything under the sun pertaining to Nagaland, and you find out here. They also have a brilliant area for shopping traditional clothes and handicrafts. Throughout the day the arena is lit up with various performances both cultural as well as musical concerts. The agricultural department has also opened a huge section where you can buy indigenous plants, fruits and pulses. Food, music, dance, entertainment, rich history and culture; all of them together at one spot. What more can you ask for? A huge salute to Govt of Nagaland for organising this wonderful event.

Truly an international festival! Naga people need to curate our arts & storytelling! We are getting better every year. Need more informed, educated trained guides to facilitate the tourists within the premises, along with printed document of the event & visual display. Great job this year. Anyone wanting to know more about Nagaland must definitely visit the Festival.

The hornbill festival of the nagas is celebrated here at kisama every year from 1-10th December. There are many artifacts and morungs for recreational, educational and also for business purposes. The place is good for exposure and also for learning the various types of tools used by the forefathers.

Well it's an amalgamation of cultures and more so a place where you can see the whole of Nagaland in unison. A scenic location surrounded by beautiful mountains and a place to relax with the family. It comes alive in December and thats the prime time to visit.
