The only stadium in Kohima this place has now become the hub for sporting events. With the recent upgradation including flooring the ground with astro turf and flood lights the ground is now capable to host mega sporting events. It has played host to some mega events including concert venue for the international band Smokie and Abba tribute band. This ground has been upgraded with astro turf and flash lights.

One of The most popular place for many different activities, that have nothing to do with sports. The "hockey" ground used to be the favored place for driving practice. Come December, it is the number one concert venue for Hornbill Festival. The first Astroturf-ed football field was/is the number one background for profile photo pictures in every social media. Bonus if it is also foggy. Also many other activities happen here, that authorities cannot control, but will instead go after whoever points them out, since it is easier.

IG Stadium is the only facility, and a damn good one, available in Kohima for sports and running. There is a huge shortage of plain grounds in the city. IG Stadium has an astroturf grass football field and good quality 400 m running tracks around it. Spectators' gallery is also huge.

Amazed by how it has been renovated in few years. I didn't know such statium exists in Nagaland and I'm happy it does . Very impressive

The best stadium in Nagaland with well maintained pitch ground and surrounding areas. Very clean inside the pitch and the stadium areas. Good lightings for night time plays and track loop around the green pitch. International standards quality stadium. Good murals and paintings around the walls. The only setback is that it is very far away from the main town. Located almost at the end of Kohima town so it’s hard to get to here especially during heavy traffic rush hour. There is a Khelo india football training center nearby too. It looks like there is a sports science center inside too but not too sure if it’s operational or not. But a signboard that says so is put up outside. Stadium is gated so only authorized personnel can get access during non sporting events. Located at a hilltop like area so you can get beautiful view of the luscious green mountains of Nagaland and sunrise or sunset depended on when you go there. Definitely a must see or visit during sporting events. Parking is also available. There are no shops nearby.

Run by the government of Nagaland it offers athletes from all sports type to improve their talents. It has almost everything a sportsman desries and every facility is made available to them. There is student dormitory for the students staying there. There are students from different disciplines of sports like taekwondo, archery, boxing, athletics, football etc etc

Indra Gandhi is a football stadium located near NH-2 KOHIMA-MOKOKCHUNG ROAD of kohima not so far from Hotel vivor . It is the first ground where an artificial grass has been used . currently NORTH EAST DR T.AO trophy has been played at IG STADUIM .

There is football stadium, boxing ring, archery, badminton court, running ground etc. Sufficient space for parking is also available here.

The place doesn't really suit well with the prominent name Indira Gandhi. Though it's a good place to spend time wondering why Nagaland can't have even one proper stadium with good sporting facilities.

Fabulous ambience for sports activities but still lacking the required infrastructure and amenities

Sports is not given much importance as of now in our state. Haven't seen much upgradation although much needs to be done. As per my personal observation majority of the trainees junior/senior residing here at the hostels are from eastern Nagaland. Hope everything will grow in due course of time.
