A wonder of nature , the Garampani pond water has healing properties according to locals. Must visit for all the nature lovers who seek to find out the wonders of nature. Presently swimming is not allowed and it is a protected site which is a very good step taken by the govt. Don't forget to include this place in your bucket-list if you want to touch the water which boils naturally ♨️

Located in the middle of Nambor Wildlife Sanctuary at Karbi Anglong district is Garampani, the natural hot water spring of Assam. Very beautiful and well maintained by the forest department. It's a very popular tourist place. Road conditions are really good and close from Golaghat town as well as Barpathar/ Sarupathar along with Dimapur, Nagaland.

I personally like "Garampani ", because nature is great, it really can be crowded in middle of the day or weekends, so better to be early morning or at least on normal days, otherwise lovely spot for recharge, to have picnic, to see some animals, if you are lucky :), or elegant drops if you aren't that lucky. One thing is disturbing is trash, people not cleaning after themselves, but not critical level, but still it's not cool.

The road was surprisingly good at the end but from Golaghat, it was hell. I didn't think it was free of charge to enter, but we didn't have to pay. Overall it was an average experience. The Nambor road is more worth it.

It's has a hot spring pool at the midst of the ecological park. The water is boiling at the mid part of the pool but around the side of the pool the water tends to be at a temperature around 50-55°C. It also has a park for children to play. The entry fee is ₹ 10 for children below 10 years and ₹ 20 for all other age group.

Good for few hours unless you go for trekking. Garampani pond is maintained well. There were leeches in the other side of the hanging bridge where people usually go for trekking. We went in a small group and turned back from trekking due to leeches. Good to bring children and spend few hours in the small park like area. Unfortunately not able to see any wildlife or hear any singing birds. There were elephant dung seen here and there, so be careful while wandering there. Only one tea shop outside so be prepared.
