It's a Heaven on Earth. One of the best treking I've ever had. The valley's so beautiful along with the hillocks. It's green everywhere. I experience the coldest wind blowing through. I've seen when it is burnt down half of the Valley.

This is the place from where the road towards Dzükou valley car parking starts. It is a diversion Point for the valley. Few Homestays are available here, it's not a very developed Tourists spot it's just a point from where you will have to leave NH 2 for Dzükou valley. A few small hotels for food are available here.

Dzűkou is worth the trek. The valley is beautiful and it felt great to be completely isolated from the world during my stay there.. P.S. there's no signal at all☆

Dzükou Valley is a valley located at the border of Nagaland and Manipur at an altitude of 2452 m. It's well known for trekking, natural environment, and its flora & fauna. There's 2 point from which one can start the trekking one is ZAKHAMA nad another is VISWEMA. Zakhama is very steeper than Viswema and difficult for trekking whereas Viswema takes more time for trekking. We took Zakhama for going up to valley and it tooks around 6 hours to reach to valley guesthouse and we returned by Viswema it tooks around 7.5 hours to reach down to Viswema village.

Dzukou Valley is one of the unique place for trekker. People should visit once in their life time. Breathtaking views are there. If you take 2-3 days just to explore the place is amazing. These pics are from my winter visit. If you are lucky u might get snow even. I visited again in the summer season.

If you planning on the Dzukou trek then be prepared for hours of walking, climbing and mountaineering. The Dzukou trek is not for the weak, Be prepared for unending rainforests, stiff climbs, rains, storms and anything else you can imagine. The trek through Jhakhama will cost you 2-3 hours of jungle trek and another 2hrs+ of steep walking through the valleys. But it'll all be worth it once you reach the camp, the view will make you forget everything. My personal tip: Bring water, electrolyte, snacks, and protine bars, carbs. You'll need it.

With out of the world scenery, highly adventrous trek, extremely cold night, and possibly your first milky way 'darshan' this place is something else. It doesn't matter how much prepared you go there, you will always be under prepared. One thing you have to keep in mind while doing this trek is you won't get any help in between. No food, no water and perhaps no people also. So take sufficient amount of water and food(prefer Glucon-D) while going up. And there are 2 ways for going up. I would say don't try Zakhama route if you are not physically strong. At the top you can stay overnight in the guest house. Also, start trekking as early in the morning as possible.

Amazing, pictures dont do justice.. Go there and experience stay, stay for atleast 1 day. Keep expectation aside. take your own sleeping bags, and tent(optional), alot of rats in dormitory (dormitory is just big room with alot of people sleping on sleeping mats , take alot of food with you like bread , ready make food prefered like instant noodles or bowl maggi.
