Located 221 kms from Guwahati it is the best place to witness one horned Rhino(pretty rare). It also has wide number of Sambar deer, Wild elephants and Birds. The jeep for safari is good. Must visit place for everyone.

I did it solo , the safari rate is , Jeep 2300 ,per person 300, park entry 115, permit 100. So total 2815 . My hotel guy arranged it for me. I saw the jeep driver giving a commission to the hotel guy , that means if you directly approach the ticket counter at each park and enquire you could do it for a lesser price. 2 hr safari is good. Except for the tiger , I did spot all the animals.

Worth experiencing. This is like the only National Park safari where there is a chance to see a Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros 🦏. They are majestic to watch. Go visit if you like visiting zoo and if you are in Assam. You get to see elephants and also there is elephant safari during few seasons. There are few amazing birds. The jeep takes you on road and it takes total of 3 hours or so including travel from and to hotel. The jeep safari is decent good. Other than rhinoceros m, there is nothing appealing or exciting here.

Early morning ride on elephant to watch rhino and birds. There are 2 timings options in early morning. Charges around Rs.1100 per person. Animal lovers may not like the idea.

Took an early morning gyspy safari to the western range Bagori. This range is famous for its elephant safari and met a lot of tourists riding elephants. It was a delightful sight to see a procession of more than twenty elephants. We also got to see many of the legends of Kaziranga up close.Since the area of the west range is relatively smaller than that of the central range, the animals graze quite close to the gypsy path and are in full visibility. We saw herds of deer, elephants, water buffaloes and even one horn rhinos. Our driver cum tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and knew to pick just the right spots to give us an enriching experience of the forest. We were also lucky to catch an exciting interaction between two rhinos (mating). Our driver also gave us a pitstop to the nearby dhaba (baleswar dhaba) that served amazing mutton curry and roti.

Famous national park for single horn rhinos. During our jungle safari we could see a lot of them from a very close distance. Also some other animals and birds.

Karizanga National Park is located at Both Nagaon nd Golaghat Districts of Assam.. It was established on 1905 nd is now famous for the One Horn Rhino, its been considered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1985 as it hosts two-thirds of the world's great One Horned Rhinoceroses nd also for its unique natural environment.. *Second half is best for Bagori Range. Kaziranga is a home to large population of Elephants, Wild Buffalos, Swamp Deer, Wild Pigs, Different Species of Snakes nd Mobkeys along with Tigers.. It was a highest density of Tigers among the protected areas of the World nd was once also declared as a Tiger Reserve in 2006.. Kaziranga is also known for the ranges of Birds available here, no-matter from where they had come, but it's a home for many different nd beautiful species of 🐦.. The Bird Life International had recognized Kaziranga as an Important Bird Area for its avifaunal species.. It has a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland nd dense tropical moist broadleaf forests.. It has three ranges, Agoratoli Range, Kohora Range nd the Bagori Range.. Kohora is the main range of the Sanctuary.. Jeep nd Elephant safaris are available, but Elephant safari is only at the early morning.. Bagori Range is very very interesting coz a huge numbers of home returning animals can be seen in this range during the second half of the KNP visiting hours. One will surely enjoy his jeep safari over here with animals as like all in hands/sideby. *Second half is best for Bagori Range. The Park opens from September to get closed by May for visitors, due to excessive rainfall that it witness nd get flooded all over the ranges.. Which is one of the major problem of our Kaziranga National Park, as due the flood many of the wild animals faces problem of food, shelters nd some of them have to give up their lives.. Many initiatives have been taken to give them proper high places for shelter nd food too, but natural problems/calamities can't be stopped or resolved so easily.. RB....

This is a must go destination for all nature lovers. The elephant ride starts at around 6:00am and advance booking is required. Great Haven for nature photography of all types. The Western Range remains open from mid-Oct to March each year and there are a number of good staying options in the vicinity but needs advance booking, mostly as it is quite heavily subscribed...

Wonderful place to visit.. Will enjoy the feast of forest, animals especially Rhino.. Those who loves nature, must visit this place. One Ride of Gypsy will cost you around 3000 rupees and registration charges. 4-5 people can travell in it. (Well worth the money) Best time is evening Ride, starting at 1.30 pm. Can see many Rhinos. Be careful, don't go close to rhinos, never try to get down from the vehicles.

The Bagori gate. Reached at 5.30am for a 6.00 am elephant safari. Sizeable crowd. Ticketing etc was smooth. The boarding and disembarking from elephants could be handled better rather than crowding on the platform. The short elephant ride was excellent and saw one horned rhinos up close. Highly recommended

The elephant safari was very good, but felt very bad for those elephants being beaten by their Mahuts. Saw many one horned rhinos from up close.. Spotted a few wild buffaloes and hog deer as well..

I have chosen this as I have heard that there will be definitely sighting of rhinos. I do not want to take a chance. The points I liked are: 1. The range is very big and dense. 2. You will definitely sight rhino, deers, wild buffalos and tortoise. 3. There are two watch towers where tourists can take a break. 4. You can book your safari from the hotel where you are accomodated or else you could also come here and book. 5. It is really enjoyable Jeep safari.

Worth a visit. The elephant safari takes 4 people at a time and mostly it is rhino spotting. If you are lucky, the rhinos will be in a playful mood. This area isn't great for tiger spotting as there is high human population. Worth the money. This is one of the best sanctuaries in the country

National Park with more than 2.5k rhinos and around 100 tigers in it. You can do both jeep safari and Elephant safari. Elephant safari starts at morning 5 itself upto 7 am.

Absolutely mesmerizing experience!! We went here twice for elephant safari and the beauty of this place stunning. We saw Rhinos both the days and on the last day we saw a rhino just where the safari starts. It was really awesome experience to see these magnificent animals at such a close range. The elephants in our safari were very human friendly. Feeding these gentle giants was also an experience on its own. Enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended to visit.

Countries only house for Single Horned Rhino and largest number of Bengal Tigers well over 120 in number and largest number of Asiatic Wild buffaloes besides Elephants and other animals, Elephant Safari was great but not to undermine the Jeep Safari in a Gypsy

Highly over rated work in kaziranga. It's just 2-3 km drive on elephant which takes 1 hr .... 5 min delay for ride is manageable.
