The kids and I went in for ice cream and then realized we were hungry. They have a small dining room with several tables, and there were a few people in there for lunch. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We tried the enchiladas, flautas, and quesadillas. They were very accommodating with the ingredients and toppings. I would highly recommend this place for both tacos and ice cream!

This is an underdog spot with the most authentic Mexican food in Indiana. The customer service is so pleasant, friendly and quick. I love talking to the owner, he never has a serious expression and is so passionate about serving the best Mexican food. The mind blowing item was the mango ice cream yesterday. Local, homemade and had such an authentic flavor that I was left craving for more. The veg burrito was flavorful and the green sauce was just right. I would highly recommend supporting a local business with such good flavors.

Wow!!! I have been in Indiana for 3 years and have not yet to find my favorite taco place until Chris's Ice Cream. I drive by that place almost everyday because it's like 5 minutes from my house, but I never went in. Part of me was skeptical because I was judging the book by it's cover thinking tacos combined with ice cream won't be authentic. I was all the way wrong! Three weeks ago, I went in for the first time and ordered their steak asada tacos. It blew my mind, because I have not been able to find a taco that tasted this authentic since I've moved to Indy especially on the north side. The steak was so juicy, perfect balance of flavor and texture. I don't like my steak without any fat, their steak is perfectly balanced with the lean and the fat makes every bite amazing. Needless to say, I went back 4 days in a row and I go in every week. Now lets talk about the customer service. The owner Chris is so nice. We would have our little chit chat every time I wait for my food, he is very personable and I always get their ice cream while waiting for my food. I will definitely be a regular as long as I am in Indy :)

If the food didn’t knock you Off your feet with Flavor 🔥❤️👌🏽, then the Family Oriented customer service exceeds any restaurant here in Indy. The meat is different from every other taco joint here. And the ice cream is rich and you cannot get this anywhere else. Customer service deserves 100/10 ❤️

My first time coming here, I really enjoyed the food. My 2nd and 3rd time, not so much. Their food is not consistently good. Although I love their burrito but for tacos, I know a place or two that’s better than Chris. It’s also quite a bit expensive here relative to the amount of food that you’ll get. I understand that we might not see cheaper prices anytime soon but the serving size should not also suffer.

This was our first time visiting, with the prices of eating out going up we are careful to choose when and where we spend. We've been wanting to eat at Chris's for a while and visited for lunch date. It was busy and the crowd was diverse, thankfully we managed to find a table for two and took our seats. The food arrived after ten minutes or so, and we chatted with an enthusiastic repeat customer that has eaten at the restaurant over two hundred times. The food arrived and we were ready to eat after watching (and smelling) others receive their delicious looking plates. I got a steak burrito with a side of beans and rice and my partner got tacos with various meats and beans & rice as well. We were given full squeeze bottles of a delicious green and red salsa. The food was delicious.. some of the best in the area. The portion sizes were generous compared to other establishments. The beans are rice were so full of flavor I wanted to stay and keep ordering plate after plate. I'm glad we finally decided to visit Chris's, we'll definitely visit again.

Yum! Don't pass this place up. Small, unconvincing exterior is well made up for with the food. Order in line then served at your table, the service was quick and friendly. Tacos were lacking in flavor honestly, but the salsas they were served with were tasty and everything else we got was great! The ice cream is delicious too!! They do samples if you're on. The fence or want to try something new. Love supporting a local family business, and will definitely be back to explore the menu more.
