lots of monkeys, lots of exotic birds. This place is good but it needs lots of improvements. No tigers, elephants or any big animal except for himalayan bears(super cute). The place is clean, only problem was there was no proper place to eat

Aizawl Zoological Park, nestled in the picturesque hills of Mizoram, offers a unique wildlife experience in Northeast India. This well-maintained park provides a glimpse into the rich biodiversity of the region while promoting conservation efforts. The first thing that strikes visitors is the stunning natural beauty that surrounds the park. Located on a hill, it offers panoramic views of the lush green landscape of Aizawl, making it a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The park is home to a variety of indigenous and exotic species, including the beautiful Himalayan Black Bear, the graceful sambar deer, and various avian species. The enclosures are spacious, and efforts have been made to create a more natural habitat for the animals, which is commendable. What sets Aizawl Zoological Park apart is its commitment to education and awareness. There are informative signboards and friendly staff members who provide insights into the animals and their conservation status. This educational aspect makes it an excellent destination for families and school groups. The park also has a small cafeteria where visitors can enjoy a snack while taking in the scenic views. However, it's advisable to carry some water and snacks, especially if you plan to spend a few hours exploring. Aizawl Zoological Park may not be as extensive as some larger zoos in India, but its focus on local biodiversity and conservation efforts makes it a worthwhile visit. Plus, the serene environment and the chance to see these animals up close in a relatively natural setting create a memorable experience for nature enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.

The one and only Zoo of Mizoram, located on the way to aizawl city to airport It's a zoo, on the hill top, where you can see wild bear, dear, tiger various birds and many more. An ideal place for children to bring them into the nature. The roads are bumpy, you won't find any shops there so carry your food and drinks

It is an OK zoo i might say. Tun hma ang in Ramsa an lo tam tawh vak lo, zawng an tam hle. Toilet is not clean, there was no mug or light bulb in the toilet. Better take care of that one. And i dont think a Guide was there to show you around so, you're on your own when you get there, it is also wheelchair accessible. Ticket: 1 adult = Rs 20 1 child = Rs 10 Parking fee also there too.

Aizawl Zoological Park, located in Sakawrtuichhun (near PTC lungverh), is a wonderful place to visit for both tourists and locals alike. The park is spread over a large area and houses a wide variety of animals and birds, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. The entry fee for adults is Rs. 20, while children under 10 years of age can enter for free. The camera fee is Rs. 50 for still cameras and Rs. 100 for video cameras. The vehicle parking fee is also very reasonable, with two-wheelers charged Rs. 10, LMVs charged Rs. 20, and HMVs charged Rs. 50. The park is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, with slightly different timings during different months. From March to October, the park is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM on Sundays. From November to February, the park is open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM on Sundays. The park provides several facilities to visitors, including visitor sheds, toilets, urinals, resting places, and permanent benches at suitable intervals along the visitor's path.

Nice Collections. The Scenary and the layout of the zoo is also beautiful. But since the cages are designed like a real jungle, it is hard to spot the animals sometimes. Especially when they are sleeping.

Park is very good. But the road leading to park is worse. That need to get better. Otherwise its very difficult for two wheelers to drive and go there.

Aizawl Zoological Park is worth visit with family as welk as those who have chance while staying at Aizawl if you have time. Here are the reason why: 1. There are a good numbers of animals collections in a vesat area. 2. There are different creatures rare and expensive sieze from smugglers from South Asian countries, therefore exotic birds, reptiles and animals which is very difficult to see in India are kept here. 3. In compare to other states, Aizawl zoo visiting cost is very minimal and worth spending money. 4. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Total Mizoram is nice place, people are so kind hearted and helpfull, they are totally different kind of thinking, they trust so much and never let you down. Aizawl zoological park is good and its big enough. Nice to spend time there.
