This is my ansestral home. This is the family line of Mr. Ram Shankar Bondopadhyay (originally from Dhaka Bikrampur). The house is almost 280 years old. Durga puja of this house is very famous.

It's my home and around 500years old. We still live with our heritage and tradition.

Very old building, joint families are living there almost 200+years. Now why it's named as "Chata Pora Banerjee Bari" a story behind it. At that time around 200 years back there was no banking system. So, members of this house used to keep their excess money deep under the mud floor for savings and to protect from robbery etc. After a long time when they dig out those money back to use, they found their money are damaged by fungus (Chata in Bengali) or by insects etc. It's might be a story or rumour but known almost everyone in our area and slowly the adjective added with this house (Bari in Bengali) as "Chata Pora" which actually related with their wealth.

This is my in laws house and estate. It has heritage culture, famous for worship. Two shibmandir are located face to face. Outer dalan separated by en entrance, pujo mondop and residential area. I am enjoying the day of "vasan" of durga pujo for last 25 years. It is really a good memory . All members from different area gadher here, enjoy sidhhi and vasan for that auspicious night.
