I think it's still #nr1 in Komatipoort... Great beer on tap, food of good quality. I can see that the service can be slow sometimes, ours were great when we visited, waitress was friendly and service were quick. Difficult to keep a high standard with service with random and irregular peak times. Stop here, you won't be dissapoited. And it's ON the main road. You can't miss it.

Very nice place to eat. We had the seafood platter for two. Don't be fooled, it could easily feed 3 or 4, and was superb!

We heard from friends about this restaurant but I went online to check out the photos of the place and it didn't look promising but I'm so thankful we tried it anyway! Wow!!! It exceeded all expectations! Food was amazing and so was the service. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Waitress didn't place our order when we asked. When we complained to the manager she played the deny game. Service is slow. We made a point of timing our service as we had to get back to the Kruger Park gate. Her lack of service meant we couldn't enjoy our meal nor have dessert. The managers rude attitude made that this favourite of ours will never see us again. I must go is now a big no go. This is unfortunate as we always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

South Africa, has great taste! Very natural setting which I loved, the service was great the owner was friendly and came by the table to check on us twice, we had 6 in our party and sat at a long tree table with plenty of room! Food was good too!

Excellent food, great service! We had a great time. When you order prawns you will get a bib, which we thought was an excellent idea. We recommend the prawn rissoles! Make a reservation before going to avoid disappointment.

This Mozambique restaurant was highly recommended by a South African friend and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Super fresh seafood dishes, great atmosphere and friendly service. The servings were huge. The seafood rice is to die for. Drinks were good too. Great value for money and highly recommend if visiting Kruger/the area.

Definitely expected more from your quiant restaurant... The scene was set up 👌 and very welcoming... Wanted to eat relax and enjoy! Sadly, the quality of food was not to our expectations ... and you right at the border to have access to the best of the best seafood.... Prawns were small and well neither there nor here .... Mushrooms dry and overcooked ... The smaller attention to detail was missed "Portuguese" peri peri chicken was dry and had no taste ..... tasted like it was over boiled, and then some sauce added afterward..... extra sauce was requested, and it wasn't even the same sauce that was used... The ladies had no bother or care ..... wrong people managing your restaurant... No atmosphere - stiff cold and eat and go vibe.... Definitely didn't expect that.. 2 stars given..... Oysters were good , but they need to say more open and serve And another star for the pancake dessert. It's definitely more welcoming and better cuisine to appreciate out there ...

Had a large group lunch. Service was incredibly slow. Food is well priced but not spectacular otherwise.

Good parts; nice atmosphere & gardens , food was fine , oysters were good Not so good; Food wasn’t that special, service was slow and haphazard and price was high; R700 for salad , 6 prawns & calamari , 6 oysters , coke & cider (including tip) Ocean basket would have been better for less.

The service was terrible. Booked a table the day before and when we got there our supposed table was given to someone else who had made a reservation after us. The food was atrocious. The seafood tasted like it was bought frozen and over boiled. The manager/owner didn't care and the waitresses were rude. Really sad because we had such big expectations knowing how good it was the last time.

We always come to eat at Tambarina when we come to the Kruger, and it never disappoints. The prawn curry is always good, we also had the calamari, sole and chicken schnitzel last time which was a large portion. They were all good! 👌🏻

Slow waitress and her service was not the nicest. We ordered three dishes waited 45 minutes till the first one came and the two other dishes came wrong. The food is really good and after getting the manger involved things got better and they offered a lot of Compensations.

Wow wow wow! What a lovely meal we had here. We had the queen prawns with chicken and the queen prawns with calamari and it was just so yummy. The service was lovely too, with our waitress bringing bibs and finger bowls just to add to the whole eat with your hands experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, will be back on our next trip to Kruger!

We had a wonderful meal at Tambarina last night. We had 2 x seafood combos @ R398 each. It included 1 x full hake, a bowl of muscles in creamy garlic sauce, calamari strips, squid heads & 4 prawns. Served with half chips & half salad. What a feast. Great service & great food.

The venue is cute for where you are. It just didnt seem very organised. We got mediocre service. And meals being delivered at random times. Probably due to load shedding, however if this is the case, and you have a generator, then make sure your generator is running correctly prior to your businesses peak season. (Ran 10min then cuts out). Very Dissapointed.

Amazing food. Whether it is fish, chicken or beef, the food is delicious. It is a great restaurant. The only problem is the wait time for food but it is worth it when you eventually get your meal.

We drive from White River just to come eat here. I cannot begin to express how their food is. You just need to go and try it for yourself. We always receive such a warm and friendly welcome. It has become home. Plus their portions are very generous.

Ate here before food ok, however, on Sept 2nd, 2022 we arrived to find that prices are suddenly jacked-up most ridiculously to a point where they literally are ignorant to one's intelligence! We told them them so left and went to the Kambaku restaurant at the golf club who has excellent food and standard prices.

Sought it out even though one online site erroneously claimed it was permanently closed. We had an excellent lunch. My prawn curry was delicious and others in our party had large garlic prawns and a t-bone steak. Cost was modest, service attentive. I will eat there again when in Crocodile Bridge area.

An authentic Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Komatipoort. Menu has all the Portuguese favorites. You can even get an ice cold 2M beer to wash down those magnificent Prawns. Will go back anytime. Friendly, efficient waiters. Don't expect fancy cutlery and crockery, starched tablecloths etc. for a fine dining as this is your typical laid back Mozambique style, Portuguese restaurant.

Really nice place, great food and value for money. Happy smiling staff. We'll be back for sure
