Good value for money, good service and good homely food. Good game viewing, but got chase off a sighting by private lodge vehicle. Too much vehicles limited the time at the lion sighting.

Located just in front of a river where elephants come to drink among hippos and crocodiles ! The lodge itself is fantastic, the supervision by Mr. Johannes is really impeccable from all points of views. The jeep driver assigned to us, Mr William, is nothing less than a real expert of the park and thanks to him we have seen four out of the big fives on the very first game drive. Fantastic experience !

It's a great place to be. Just next to the Kruger National Park. If you plan to see the Big Five on a Game Drive in one shot. You can bet your dollar in this place! There's a high chance that you will see them in their natural habitat on a stretch of approximately 4000 hectares. Photocred: @Louis Pohl

Very easy to access from KMIA with a nice drive through the sugar cane fields of Malalane. Great river frontage viewing along the Crocodile River which makes this rather small and tame.private reserve worth visiting.

We really enjoyed our time at the reserve. We stayed in the bush camp lodgings which is well designed and well maintained. I enjoyed the view into the bush and regular visits from waterbuck, warthogs, impala and hippo. Was also lucky enough to see lion in the reserve. One thing that would improve the experience is if the gate into Kruger Park is opened.

We saw lots of animals and a lot of different bird species. With every game drive you see and learn something you haven't known before. A week goes by too quick. Very relaxing.

Be aware of the illegal speed fines inside the game reserve. Only state police has the criminal competence for charging fines. There isn’t a procedure for appealing those fines and they vulnerare all rights of defense. Mr Louis in charge of security was completely rude and impolite and threatened us with a gun. Tourists don’t deserve to visit that reserve or the Mjejane Bush Camp/Hotel. Refrain of booking there. Look for others hotels and reserves more friendly with tourists. The speed cameras are hidden and they only want to steal your money. Rand 4500 charged in only 1 hour! 3 fines for 45 km/ 51 Km and 58 km in the same day!!!. All around the world is illegal to charge you 3 fines in the same day in the same place. The procedure is completely illegal and not binding for tourists who didn’t take part in the agreement negotiated between the association of owners.

The diverse wildlife and captivating scenery was truly a sight to behold... Nestled within the captivating African Wilderness, this reserve is an absolute gem for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the majestic elephants that roam freely in their natural habitat. The accommodation was unexpectedly delightful with a tastefully blending rustic charm with modern comforts, the lodges provided a serene sanctuary amidst the untamed wilderness. Every moment spent on the game drive is an indelible memory. If you seek a remarkable escape into nature's grandeur, Mjejane Lifestyle Game Reserve is an absolute must-visit!

Absolutely amazing!!! From the entrance to reception, grounds people, cleaners, maintenance staff, shop assistants- all friendly, super helpful & professional. We stayed in the Bush Camp. The accommodation is luxurious beyond expectation & the views from patio are breathtaking. The game drive was another out of this world experience! This is a resort that needs to be on your bucket list!!!

Our recent visit to Mjejane Bush Camp was wonderful. We stayed in private accommodation and did 2 game drives a day. Our game ranger and driver was Jabu and he really was excellent in finding game and enlightening us with relevant information. We saw 4 of the Big Five and also many birds to tick-off on our list. With Mjejane forming part of the Trans Kruger National Park we were spoilt with having access to all the game in their natural habitat.

The pics don’t do it justice. The setting is amazing, the staff friendly, the Rangers knowledgeable and accommodating when spotting an incredible array of animals. Slight upgrades on the finer things could make it ultra special but in terms of a vfm experience it was truly special.

If you like private reserves and not a lot of vehicles on sightings this is the place for you. They offer timeshare units or book one of the many private lodges on the reserve. No public vehicles on game drive routes and only 3 open safari vehicles on a sighting is the best to fully enjoy the trip

Absolutely amazing. Nature as it should be. The range of wildlife is innumerable. Sightings are effortless. The management of the Reserve is commendable. Stayed at Marula Sunrise Private Lodge. Wilma and Andre are great hosts, their establishment has the highest standards and spectacular views of the Crocodile River. Simeon our guide/driver is the epitome of gentleman, was ever so eager to meet our every whim. He is very knowledgeable of the wildlife and the history of Mjejane Reserve. A memorable stay it was at Mjejane.
