Did not see anything at all for 2 hours. No rhino, no lion. Not worth the money. Only thing of any beauty was the run down picnic spot by the river

Beautiful park. Although we did not see any lions, rhino's or leopards we saw tracks ot these animals, so they definitely have them in the park along with a variety of antelope. R120 per vehicle (at this moment in time November 2021). You do get a map of the park which is very easy to read. It is not preferable for light vehicles to drive in the park during rainy seasons... Rather drive a vehicle with a higher road clearance ... We were a bit nervous for damage with our Etios hatchback on some of the roads. As we did not enter the park with big expectations ... We've rather enjoyed the the small things of nature and were surprised with the big.

Almost nothing to see. Basically just saw a bunch of impala, and the roads are terrible. There weren't even birds to see at the bird hides, and they're so overgrown that you almost can't see out of them.

Friendly Gate staff. Park was neat and the view points as well. Restrooms were clean although some of the door are damaged but still operational.

Not much to see, Only saw Giraffe, Zebra, Impala and Kudu. No Sightings of White Rhino, Buffelo or Lions.

Upkeep not so great. Road and route markings not everywhere all too visible. Some places the branches over roads needs trimming, especially for safari type vehicles. Parking and maneouvering at lookout points is simply inadequite. Toilet rooms seriously needs plumbing done. Water tanks are full, but toilets cannot flush! In general, not many animals to see really. Very seldomly a Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard or Lions can be seen.

Having done ecological studies in Lionspruit I can vow that the farm is a jewel. Facilities at "Frikkies dam" is inviting but the toilets are in a less than acceptable standard. Game viewing is difficult but the bush is sheer Lowveld bushveld bliss.

Roads are OK, however 4x4 advised. Scenery is amazing.

roads not for cars but more for bakkies and the like... lady at the gate had no change so make sure you take R130 on the dot... route somewhat narrow for you to pull over for an oncoming car... not all roads are wide enough...saw the obvious animals but nothing as stated on the pernits...signage from Olifants REALLY small and far from the road... would invest in better signage... bins over full... toilets could be cleaned at R130 entry fee you would expect a clean loo

The roads were horrendous. Not sure how a normal sedan can drive through the reserve. Did not see a lot of animals. Some impala and zebras.

Avoid: I saw almost nothing except the zebras which really impressed me (photos). Only impalas and a few giraffes. I'm sure you'll see more animals in Marloth Park.

Still very rural, that being said it is building up very quickly. Guest houses are modern, with sufficient space between each house to feel like your in a vast African bush alone. Feed all sorts of animals right from your patio, animals are wild but if your careful enough they will eat from your hand

👍👍 Interesting museum - well worth the trip. Gives a good glimpse of Mozambique as South Africa’s neighbouring country and the influence it had on bringing down apartheid. Being around the debris of the plane makes all the book knowledge very tangible.
