This is a great lookout point over the Kruger Park with lots of animals coming to drink at the crocodile river. The only problem is that there is very little shade in this area! There are lots of parking space and one could put out your camping chairs to sit and watch the game - but it is very hot without any shade. Need some big evergreen trees planted here, or need to build a shaded lookout lapa, where people can sit (like the one further along the fence at the Krans). I would have given it a 5 star if there were some shaded areas to sit. There are currently some benches, but all completely in the hot sun. And Marloth gets very hot - today 37 Celcius. I would encourage the Marloth Park management to invest in building a good lookout lapa here, and spend some money on road maintenance in the park (roads are really terrible) - that would definitely draw more tourists and residents!

Best time of day to "roofkyk" game is early in the morning. Don't miss the waterbuck right in front of you just otherside the fence. They are disguised by the shrubbery and undergrowth so don't be startled when they jump out

It's beautiful there. It borders on the Crocodile River and we often see game, including cheetah and leopard from there. The sunrises and sunsets are exquisite too.
