Good spot to view hippo. A bit far on the day we were there though.

Nice spot close to the Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp that takes you right down to the river. When we were there we saw quite some hippos. There is a nice place to park you car and enjoy the beautiful view over the valley. As you see the sugar cane and millie fields across the river and thus outside the park you very vividly realize the contrast between protected wilderness and cultivated landscape.

What a treat! The river had good flow and so allowed us the opportunity to wade in and enjoy the fresh water of the Berg. Something magical and relaxing about taking a walk to a river pool and then cooling off in The waters. My daughter still speaks about the time she drank fresh water from the river at Hippo Pools.

Hippo pools is a nice place to stop and drink from your flask. Today we saw what we believe to be a Goliath heron

Great spot! Saw hippo’s standing on the river banks and a few in the water fighting. Loads of giraffes on the road to the rive and on the way back we got surrounded by 40 to 50 elephants. Amazing. This was our highlight road/spot in Kruger.

Beautiful vista's overlooking the resident family of hippos doing their thing in the winding River against the hush backdrop. What more could the discerning Traveller want.

Good spot for viewing crocs and hippos.. We saw a large group of elephants too.

Peacefull quiet place to have breakfast or just watch animals pass by

such a cool place to spot all types of animals you can encounter in the park. it does take quite some washboard dirt road driving to get there but as long as its not raining any car should be able to get here. We spotted baboons, zebra's, antelope, a hippo, crocodile and 2 elephants. bring something to snack and drink in the car so you can camp out and watch the action unfold.
