I went there for only 1 night and it was amazing, the hospitality was the best I’ve seen. The food was absolutely delicious. The room was incredibly clean, and the room itself was very well done the bed was comfortable the outside area was very pleasant with a nice pool. The staff are the best. The Safari during the morning was one of the best I’ve ever done, Mark was a great guide, the Safari Jeep was the best I’ve ever been in, comfortable spacious and very clean, even with chargers for phones usb and normal plugs. Mark was incredibly friendly and very very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and you can clearly see he loves his job, he was very informative and very welcoming and friendly. I have come to Kruger several times stayed in hotels and lodges inside and outside Kruger (Marloth Park) and they don’t even come close to the facilities and hospitality of Foxy Crocodile. This was the best lodge/hotel I’ve stayed at in Kruger/(Marloth Park) My stay there was amazing with incredible staff, incredible facilities such as the rooms outside area/pool, and the best safari jeep I’ve ever been in. Staying there for one night was a mistake as it was the best time I’ve ever had. I definitely plan on coming back and staying for several weeks. Thank you for everything it was the best time I’ve had.

Words can´t describe what Mark and Gail made us experience! We had the most amazing and exciting time at this place. Really everything from the accommodation, staff, food to the location....everything is just perfect (you have to try the T-bone steak - it's the best we've ever eaten). But the best of it all is Mark and Gail. They're just lovely to talk to so warmhearted and helpful. When you stay at Foxy Crocodile you must go into Kruger National Park with Mark as a guide/ranger. He has the best knowledge of where to find the animals and knows everything about each animal and plant. We definitely will come back!

Outstanding place, completely off-grid with solar so we always kept cool ;) Please be sure to book their Safaris (morning and afternoon), this was one magical experience! They even made me vegan breakfast and dinner - thanks a lot. If I am back in the region, I will 100% come back!

Absolutely incredible trip! By far the best room I've ever stayed in. Every last detail has been carefully planned to perfection. I feel absolutely honoured to have met Gail and Mark. 2 of the best humans I've had the good fortune to spend time with. So passionate about wildlife. You won't find a better "Bush" experience!

This lodge is pretty much the best you can find at least in the south of the Kruger Park. We stayed there for 2 nights in 2018 and fell in love with everything. This year we stayed for 5 nights and could have stayed much longer. Gail and Mark are absolutely amazing hosts who go above and beyond to make the stay perfect. The game drives with Mark and Gail, but also with Ingrid, are the best we've done in Africa so far. All three are animal enthusiasts who are happy to pass on their knowledge and enthusiam to guests. If you book a game drive here, you will be in the car that is the first to get to the park and the last to leave! The lodge houses are beautifully decorated and you can tell that Gail and Mark have put a lot of thought into what it takes to have a great time. Above all, the terrace, with the many possibilities, was our highlight! The bed is great and the showers in the room and outside are absolutely fantastic! The location of the lodge is perfect. So you are literally just a stone's throw from the fence to the park and you can also observe animals there at any time. Anyone who lives here will be surprised what you get for your money in South Africa! We will definitely be back and can't wait!

The owners Gail and Mark, still remain the most amazing hosts. Always going the extra mile, for their guests! The kitchen is well equipped, each apartment has their own swimming pool, for the hot Kruger days. Best food, best service. Nothing to complain about.

The stay at Foxy crocodile bush Retreat was absolutely phenomenal. There was absolutely nothing I could fault them on. The staff Gail and mark would do anything and everything to make you feel welcome and at home. They are incredibly special and great hosts. The breakfast and dinner is honestly superb. Every meal we had was better than the next. The room is clean , spacious and beautiful. We absolutely loved our stay and will most definitely be back here as soon as possible.

Stayed at crocodile foxy retreat for the long weekend and what a phenomenal stay. Mark and Gail were attentive hosts where nothing was too much. Their knowledge and passion for the bush is something you don’t find in todays times. They have managed to keep the lodge rustic but still have the finer finishes. Will definitely be back for another stay and book the safari drive again. Mark thank you for going the extra mile to find the sightings we saw. Well done guys. Keep doing what you do so well. 😁😁😁🎉🎉🎉

Phenomenal. Every time we book here we end up staying extra days, as we love it so much. Mark and Gail (the hosts) are amazing - attentive, outgoing and incredibly kind. Accomodation is beautiful and the attention to detail is astounding. Also, the safari with Mark resulted in the best viewing we have ever had in Kruger. Highly recommend.

Most amazing experience. Their game drives are nothing short of amazing. As the Ranger (Mark), has so much knowledge to offer and is the king at spotting leopards. Oh and let's not forget the lions! Gail and Mark have put their hearts and souls into their lodge and it shows. They are such great hosts. Going the extra mile and making sure you leave with a smile. Let's not forget their wonderful staff. We can't wait for our next visit! Book your stay, you won't be sorry!

Wow wow wow wow and another wow. Worth every penny. Beautiful clean and amazing people. Most beautiful Lodge at Night in Marloth. The attention to detail is amazing. What I loved the most is that there is no children and they only accommodate couples.

We had the most special time at Foxy Crocodile! Retreat is a perfect adjective to describe the place tucked away under trees and right in the Bush, where elephants come to greet the dawn with you. The accommodation was lovely with every attention to detail and what a luxury to have one's own kitchen to make a cup of tea at the end of the day! We loved the staff and the owners, Gail and Mark, who were gracious, kind and hugely informative about the area and the animals. I highly recommend this as an option for a perfect get away to the Bush.

Wonderful place, very quiet, nicely decorated, spacious rooms and super comfy queensize bed. The small private pool was great to cool down during the heat. Thanks to solar energy no load shedding issues - especially helpful for the aircon at night ;-). Gail, Karla and Marc and their team were super friendly and helpful. The safaris were an amazing experience, too! Definately recommend to stay here!

What a stunning place. We will recommend this 500%. Loved the pool & animals that visits frequently. The best thing about this place is that it is 100% of the grid, we were not even aware that there was load shedding in Marlothpark. The aircons, fans and Free Wi-fi worked during load shedding. Do yourself a favour and book the Dinner that they prepare at your unit - It was a nice experience. Staff friendly & efficient. The owners of this property, so friendly and knowledgeable and great conservationist.

We stayed here for a week in November, because we wanted to experience our first safari. We were welcomed by a lovely girl. She was very nice and gave us clear explanation about our stay. The place was fantastic and we had a very nice and clean room with an outside pool. We couldn't have wished for a better place. My husband and I had a delightfull stay at this retreat. Mark and Gail (and the whole Foxy team) were kind to us. We will defintely come back! Helen & Erwin

This review is for the game drive with Foxy. I initially got in touch with Foxy to stay with them but however we had a change of plan and wanted to be closer to the Kruger crocodile gate. Karla from their team was in constant contact and answered every query with lots of patience and accuracy. You can do a game drive with them even if you don’t stay with them. We were picked up promptly for the split day drive by our guide Ingrid. Their vehicles are equipped to ensure you have the most comfort while you are on the look out for animals. Ponchos, blankets and seat warmers are a god sent when the African weather decides to be harsh on you. They also have packed breakfast and plenty of refreshments. It was a rather chilly morning with occasional showers all through the morning game and the sightings were not as one would expect at Kruger although we saw plenty of elephants, giraffes, impalas, kudus, zebras, hyenas, wildbeasts, warlocks etc but the big cat was elusive. However what made the experience rather exciting and enjoyable was Ingrid’s knowledge and genuine love for the bush, she shared plenty of fun facts about both flora and fauna. What stood out was that when we were at the end of our game drive and she got a tip about a lion sighting, she went the extra mile to drive us all the way and we saw a lion and his lioness chilling on the road without a care in the world. The experience was complete. We also went for the afternoon drive with sightings similar to the morning. We had a small break at Their property located in marloth park. It has a very rustic look and we saw some kudus here as well. Maybe next time we will stay with them!

In one word: SPECTACULAR! Together with friends we stayed for 2 and a half day and had three amazing safari rides, one of over 12 hours! Each ride had at least one spectacular sighting like lions walking past the car, a cheetah with cubs, a leopard, a pelican and an spotted owlette! Especially our guide Mark made the day! Even though we could drive around for hours and not see anything else but impala and kudu, he would explain about the trees or stop for every bird. The lodge itself was also wonderfull with an outside, and inside, shower, a nice bed and a kitchen for coffee or other cooking needs. Now I have to say we did not need it much since dinner was made for us every night. And it was amazing! If I ever come back to Kruger Park I will definitely stay here again. Every member of the team made this a dreamy experience, the only thing we had to do was accept the experience.
