Turaco lodge was the most pleasantly surprising experience in south Africa. The owner and staff are kind and genuine and really care about making your experience an unforgettable one. The lodge itself was beyond my expectation in terms of design and cleanliness. The food was among the best I've had in south Africa. 100% recommend. I will definitely be revisiting. Also it is an experience in itself to see all the wildlife (example zebras) show up to the porch of the lodge!

A wonderful place, run by a very friendly and caring owner. Sitting on the terrace you can see more animals than in Kruger Park. We ate delicious breakfast and dinner and enjoyed great company.

Turaco Lodge is the best. Rooms are very clean. The food is 5star and delicious. Marchel (the owner) with his staff are very friendly and helpful. We will most definitely stay at Turaco lodge again.

We were there for 2 nights. Easy accessible. Top quality service with top tier staff. The chef out did himself with our 3 course meal and breakfast making sure everything was to our liking. The staff made sure our rooms were always neat and clean. We highly recommend Turaco lodge to anyone that would like a get away from the city or anyone interested in visiting the Kruger. The game drive was very succesfull with alot of sightings and the driver was very knowledgable. Top quality venue with top notch people. We will definitly be making another visit soon.

Only good things to say about Turaco Lodge. Lovely location into the nature. Kudu, impala, zebra, giraffe, bush baby and warthog coming close to you and you could stay hours to watch them. Amazing hospitality from the owners, stunning location and 10/10 food cooked by chef Jerry and the owner himself. My fiancè and I didn't want to leave. We had the free upgrade to the honeymoon suite with private pool. We felt at home there and we can't wait to go back again.

We (german couple) planned to stay for 2 nights at the lodge. But it turned out that we liked it so much that we stayed 5 nights at the end. Marina and Dirk are warm hearted and very welcoming. We felt like at home from the very beginning. They help whenever they can. Dirk is a ranger and knows everything about tours, places and animals. You can even go with him for a game drive at Marloth park or Kruger. We did twice at Marloth park and we had an unforgettable time with some nice wine at the sunset looking at hippos, buffalos and crocodiles. The rooms are very cosy and quite big. The food we had at Turaco Lodge was super delicious. Marina helped us with booking tours, rental cars and even changed our flights. Zebras, Warthogs, Bushbabies and Kudus pass regularly at the lodge. Big story short: If you want to stay at Marloth or a place close to Kruger, Turaco lodge is the place to be!

Thank you Marcel and Lisette for the wonderful stay. It almost felt like a family visit. You go the extra mile in providing the best possible experience to your guests. We loved Lisette’s cooking and unfortunately the thunderstorm made you cancel the braai. We’ll have to come back to enjoy that one as well. Dirk’s safari was tremendous and I strongly recommend him. The view from your terrace, the rooms, all good. We’ll be back.

We went on an game drive trough Kruger Park with Dirk .wow it was amazing with the amount of animals we saw and Dirks knowledge of all the animals and birds .Five stars to you guys for all the preparation of the food ,drinks and yes even blankets for the cold morning

The hospitality provided to our family of 5 by Marina and Dirk was 6 stars if there was such a rating. They are friendly, helpful, and highly knowledgeable about the area. From the time we walked into the door, we were treated with smiles and exceptional service. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and cool with the AC system. The lodge is located in the bush so we could interact with animals daily such as Warthog, Kudu, Impala, and many beautiful birds including the legendary Turaco. the food was fantastic but we especially enjoyed the Chicken Schnitzel that Marina made for us on our last night. We have been to SA many times and been on several game drives but Dirk is by far the most knowledgeable and accommodating guide we have experienced. We spent 8 hours in the stunning Kruger National Partner with Dirk. We received terrific information about both the park and the game we were seeing. I highly recommend staying at Turaco if you are planning on visiting Kruger.

We had a beautiful experience. You get what you see and more. Highlight of the visit was the tour we took in the Kruger National Park. The tour guides were very informative and they heightened the experience for us. The massage was also on point. I highly recommend the place!

We booked two suits which were excellent. Modern, clean and spacious. Our hosts, Dirk and Marina, were welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend the lodge and will be visiting again.

What an amazing and special weekend. From the moment I contacted Marina and Dirk on the Friday for accommodation to the time we arrived, they had made us feel like we were coming home to visit family. Their hospitality and passion for what they do is unbelievable. We had such an incredible time, the 3 coarse meal that the "Italian Mama" (that would be Marina) cooked for us was so delicious. Thanks Dirk for our early morning coffee, and Marina for our awesome breakfasts. It was an absolute pleasure to meet the two of you and by the time we left it felt like we had known you for years. We highly recommend visiting this little treasure in the middle of Marloth Park
