What an amazing experience. The game drive was out of this world and the guide really went out of his way to interact with us. He knows the wildlife very well it's clear that he has a passion for his field, making the tour so much more interesting and fun. Highly recommended for couples who seek a intimate getaway with an on-site spa and meals served to you so you can relax all you want.

The Royal Kruger Lodge is quite lovely. There are lots of wild herbivores in the park (giraffes and zebras walking past you!). The swimming pool is refreshing after a hot day in the sun. The room was clean and the AC worked.

Had a massage with my Fiance and it was well worth the money. Topped it off with a gluten free lunch which was absolutely delicious. Megan and her staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. We where the only guests on the first 2 nights and were spoiled. Julia cooked the best fillet steak i have ever had, it was devine. Lunch was ready on our return from safari in Kruger NP. Our wants and needs fully catered. The Leopard room was extremely comfortable and well presented. Dinner each night was served in the boma under the stars. The staff sang a couple of local songs for us on the third night which was really nice. We recommend Royal Kruger Lodge if your considering a visit Kruger.

The lodge is beautiful and rustic. Food is good. Staff banging and cleaning at 7am not good. Felt like we were being rushed out at 08h30 when the departure time is 10h00. I did not feel welcome and won't be back

I stayed at the private Villa. We arrived at the lodge and then was lead to the Villa. Upon arriving I noticed the rodding eyes to the sewer were open which made me think there was a problem with the sewer. This was confirmed when we flushed the loo on the upper level and sewage flew out at the loo on the lower level. There was also no hot water. The next day they attempted to resolve the sewer issue and left. We used the loo again and the problem occurred again. The house was now stinking and we notified the owner again. The hot water issue was the thermostat and it was too late to get a plumber out. The next day one of the team from the lodge broke out the concrete over the sewer line to repair the pipe and a plumber was called out to resolve the thermostat. We just stopped using the loo on the problem side and closed the room off. The hot water was back with just a day and a half left in our stay. The response or lack thereof from the owner left much to be desired. The house itself needs some refurbishment, a bit dated, the electrical work seems to be a diy job, the blinds in the showers are all damaged and short and do not provide any privacy when you are taking a shower. In the room we slept in on the upper level on the left as you enter, there was a shower head missing, the tap on sink was lose, the light in the toilet did not work, the curtain rail came off when I adjusted the curtain, the blinds in the shower were around 150mm short on the windows allowing an audience when showering. The light in the pool does not work. On the one night the alarm in the house went off twice, i called the security company who confirmed that the front door was the problem and resolved this by using a matchstick, the owner was not seen or heard from. The TV lounge has a tv without even SABC, just a snowy screen, I did ask for an HDMI cable which I received quickly which allowed me to stream from my laptop. I had to request WIFI which was thereafter presented quickly, was included as per the ad. If it had not been for the interaction with the animals or the pool, i would have left on the first day already. It was resounding hot and if not in the pool you would have to be in the bedrooms as these are the only airconditioned areas.

Slide spa at the royal Kruger Lodge has the sweetest beauty therapists. My husband and I did the taster and time for men packages respectively and they were thoroughly relaxing.

A truly amazing lodge, don't hesitate to stay here! We enjoyed a fabulous 10 nights with the Royal Kruger Lodge family. Everyone there made our time special. The lodge, it's facilities, it's location, the food and of course all of the lovely people working there made it special. The game drives are superb with the best rangers and Marloth Park is magical in its own way. A shout out to Thomas & Matthew and their 5-star photography, they are always in toe (nails!). We recommend staying here 100%. We are sure to return soon.
