The Varahi Temple dedicated to Goddess Varahi who is temple’s presiding deity. She is presented as the pot-bellied goddess with the face of a boar. Along with Varahi Temple, Chaurasi is also famous for Amareswar temple and Laxminarayan temple. Built in the 10th century during Somavamshi dynasty, the temple boasts of a Khakhara style of architecture with its semi-cylindrical vimanas and beautiful and intricate scroll work. Spreading over about 2 acres of land, the super structure of the temple has a rectangular porch with no supporting pillars. Varahi Temple is located at Chaurasi village which is situated between Nimapada Kakatpur Road and is at a distance of 30 kilometers from Konark and 14 kilometers from Kakatpur village. The temple is open for devotees all around the year and can be reached via buses and taxis. Nearby attractions in and around Chaurasi are Konark Sun Temple, Kakatpur Village and Kurum.

Among the most beautiful temple architecture in the region, hidden, and not very known. About 45 kilometres from Bhubaneswar. Additional wonder is the campus, very green and well maintained.

Barahi Deula (Odia:ବାରାହୀ ଦେଉଳ) is an ancient 9th century built temple situated on the eastern coast of Odisha in Puri district, India. The barahi temple of Chaurasi is unique in more than one way. The image enshrined in this temple is considered to be one of the masterpieces among the images of the deity found all over India

Perhaps its a soma dynasty monument that remains intact till now is a attractive piece of art built by odia sculptors.wonderfully carved art pieces from white limestones makes it very attractive. The temple is studded with uncountable stone carved statues and ornamental decorations. The goddes Varahi is worshipped here.a small garden surrounding the temple makes it more serene and scenic.Although the temple is inside a village yet road communication is good.

Beautiful Place. I had visited the temple in July, 22 and absolutely loved the place. A peaceful and serene place existing since 9th century, which is not known to many. Government should aware the people about this majestic place. Jai Maa Barahi.

The temple is like clean, well maintained but it's like a quiet place. May be the time I visited wasn't the right time.however it's a temple unknown to most of us I guess. The stone carvings somehow resembles the konark temple.

Beautiful temple of Archaeological importance. Varahi temple is rarely found in India. With great carvings, the temple is situated in a rural area. The temple belongs to 10th century. Worth visiting the place.

It's one of the oldest and most beautiful temple of Varahi Mata . At present Archeological department undertaken this temple . They keep it open for visitors from morning 8 AM To evening 6PM. The murthy looks so natural and Real. Sad part is, due to Archeological dept undertaken , Pooja are not performing the way it should have been. However, local village people visit the temple daily and put deepam . If you want to visit this place then please take all the puja items along with you, you will not find any shops near to that temple . So take all the puja items and do puja to godessesses and take blessings. Around the temple , full of Greenary , definitely you will enjoy it and if you are passionate about photos then this place is perfect. I wish one day full fledged will be performed to godesses . Jai Varahi Mata
