This
is
a
small
renovated
Buddhist
site
which
lies
inside
the
small
village
of
Kuruma,
at
just
a
2km
detour
on
Konark-Kakatpur
route,
6kms
from
Konark.
It
has
a
huge
pond
in
the
foreground.
There
is
no
info
signage
about
the
site's
history,
and
the
locals
have
no
clue
too.
However
there
is
a
renovated
or
maybe
a
fresh
constructed
structure
which
houses
the
old
Lord
Buddha
idol
which
is
being
worshipped
as
a
ritual.
Couldn't
get
hold
of
the
priest
to
know
more
about
it.
The
site
structure
looks
somewhat
tantric
to
me,
but
i
have
no
confirmation
on
it
yet
and
my
knowledge
about
the
connection
between
Buddhism
&
Tantrism
is
limited.
Structure
is
strewn
with
overgrown
bushes,
surrounded
by
Village
homes
with
no
safety
boundary
to
define
or
demarcate
or
to
keep
the
structure
safe.
It
was
lined
with
cow
dung
cakes
to
be
dried
as
locals
have
well
access
to
it
and
maybe
not
sensitive
enough
to
understand
the
importance.
The
maximum
duration
spent
would
not
be
more
than
15mins
unless
you
are
an
architect/
structural
analyst/
research
scholar.
